Hi everyone, if you're active on picarto and get notifications from the site, Dyna streams around 11 am EST.


Though he officially was on board in March, there's still some unfinished commissions and personal stuff he had to deal with so his activity has just been recent.

But I assure that by the time he's done with Fibryl, the next demo will be ready.

This was the first draft. He did some changes to it, but this is the overall scene.


ORIGINS DEVELOPMENT UPDATE:

It has been mostly back end work for me, but mid April, the tech demo will be out. It will have a lot of placeholders, but I'm glad to report that most of the functions needed to run the game will be ready mid month.

This is the current over-world layout. The map is pretty much infinite in terms of size, but Origins will only take part in the area within the red box below:

To be precise, the only RPG elements in this game is the map navigation. That was the first problem I had with Divine Arms, so I made it modular/prefab for an easy asset and resource swap. So don't think this is going to be a long game, as it will only feature 4-6-8 scenes and a few points of interests in the world map, as I split this game to 4 chapters. 

I also started a much efficient work flow since. If you notice, there's a lot more sketch and placeholders now. I couldn't help it before since the artistic side of me is hard to repress, but I've grown since then. It's still hard to look atm but it feels much better knowing it works.


Speaking of efficiency,  I was also able to up the game's resolution to 1280x720.
If you look at the map above, the boxed / section where the map is displayed is 800x600 or the original Divine Arms dimensions. We have a lot of space to show lewds now!

Even the dialogue box extended as much!


Anyway, so here's the report for March. All of these systems work now and some were even migration from the old DA:


March:

Map navigation.

Data Screen (Only one data file atm, will make 3-5)
Dialogue Screen.
Map events.
Map to encounter events.
Map Battle.
The town of Kyafu (First town)
Battle to off battle events.
Game engine physics for the battle system.
Transitions.
GUI.

April todo's:

Battle parallax prefab system.
Points of interest spawns  for tech-demo tests
Minor Beautification of Kyafu for tech-demo
Minor Beautification of debug battle for tech-demo
Release of tech Demo.

I'm glad we're inching near the game's demo as the base functions for Origins is done.


Btw, did you know that Siggy is a guest character in a lewd racing game?

Anyway, their public demo is out, so go check it out and make sure you use only SIggy!
