Animation system for Divine Arms: Brute Force (Patreon)
Content
The animation you see above is a 'template' or a model for certain scenes and characters.
Since Brute Force will only have a minimum of 6 scenes, it will still have 20 or so enemies. In the early area, our chieftain protagonist will encounter farmers and villagers. And they will share the model above.
There will be unique designs that will still distinguish, say another later enemy bandit from a farmer, like semi-ripped clothes, dagger holster belts or suspenders etc.
By default, I will make 3 faces, 3 hair styles and 3 boob sizes for each model. This particular piece took a month to do because of the technicality and theory-crafting behind it. But to be in the realistic side since I will still be the one to do the ingame sprites, I'll be able to make one scene / model a month.
I am nowhere near Chris when it comes to animation and this is the first time I actually attempted frame by frame. But boy I sure liked it a lot! I'ts actually surprisingly fast to do. Tho with a trained eye you will see a lot of mistakes in the model, I think I can get really good and used to this.
So here are some of the possible combinations:
I had Bulma in mind when I generated this:
We can even throw in some other creatures like:
So anyway, I hope you like it!
And here are some possible questions you may ask:
Intro and Climax scenes?
There will be a separate 3-5 second insertion/intro before the main loop. It will be last priority and will be done once the six main scenes are done. They will carry the designs along the climax, so the hair, face boob size, etc will still be there. The climax scene however will be done just right after one model. I have no idea how fast that will take but I will report as soon as I finish one.
Yuri scenes?
In the 6 scenes, I could make 2 of them yuri. Maharoth will intervene and she will be the one to play with the gender-bent enemy.
Minigame?
Currently unsure, but there's a pokemon system that's gonna be in the gameplay. I'm contemplating whether to just buy the bent ones straight on or have a mini game to successfully capture one.
Pokemon?
You will be able to capture the bent ones you like design-wise and keep them for later re-fucking or to sell. Bloodhunters have the ability to learn skills of their victim's ancestors from just drinking some of their blood, so the bent-ones you capture will have passive skills you can customize for battle load outs.
Why don't you just do Divine Arms instead of making this one since you took back the animation duty?
I would. But sadly, Divine Arms is an ambitious game that just can't be done anymore on ADOBE FLASH. The game got so heavy it's a struggle to stay an hour working without it crashing or bugging on me. That and after losing animators left and right just won't help anymore with my overall sanity.
I just wish to start fresh and finish something quick for morale purposes. I am very happy with the animations and how the theory crafting worked out so I would wish to stay in this happy-fired up zone for the time being. I am no longer sickly, so I took the animation role again. No more fears of animators quitting on me.
I also have not given up on Siggy. Her timeline is the most important part of the game's universe. I will probably do 2-3 more quick games like Brute Force.
After that I'll study UNITY then take on Divine Arms again. ADOBE FLASH just can't handle projects like it. This isn't even counting the fact that Chris did raster animations while flash is done primarily on vectors.
I did learn a lot and have been dodging bullets left and right now while doing Brute Force, so you can say the experience helped.
Will there be indulge?
Not on a separate model, but if my assistant hiring becomes successful, he will be able to work on the extras like faces that will give that indulge look.
Pubic hair?
Will have. Including mole and freckles.
Are all the enemies humanoid?
Since we only have 6 scenes (minimum), there will be one familiar enemy that's gonna be genderbent:
Additional gameplay info:
In the original idea of the game, it was supposed to be something like final fight / double dragon. But since I'm again still refining and finalizing the game to out put as quick as possible, I may switch the gameplay to the engine of Forbidden Arms, an old game I did that's SFW. Further creating a new engine will eat up time and it would be better if Daryll just focuses on something already done. This is still unsure. Were weighing the workload and the speed of development but it will be decided once we narrow the planning down further.
To give an idea how Forbidden Arms plays here's its trailer some years back.
The game had small sprites but we'll have bigger ones for Brute Force. It's Forbidden Arms 2 engine is already done years ago before development was cancelled because the sponsor / publisher got bankrupt. It also fits the Bloodhunter Chieftain since the game's core mechanic was about blood. Anyway, again it's still unsure if we'll use the engine or continue developing the original brawler. Will post some news about it soon.
Anyway if there's stuff you'd like to ask about the game, feel free to do so.
In after a day or two, Alya's requests will be up!
