As everyone noticed, the game did blow up in file size because of individual frames imported to make the scenes. Some of which are transparent so backgrounds can be dynamically changed.

I am in the works of having the game run by the original exe file but the scenes are displayed as an external source, so each new update, you only need to download the new exe and swf scenes. This will be effective after 2.0 build, so 2.0 will be the last single file build.

The current version exports 70% JPEG compression and will continue to do so for $1 - public builds. $10+ will get the lossless versions added in the rewards tier. (as always, anyone who paid $10 in total or above in the past can always message me to get this reward for 2.0)

Now as I finish 2.0, I'll only be adding moans and sound effects to full colored scenes currently ingame and skip the sketches until Chris finishes them. The sketches in the game right now are missing a lot of scenes, and the sound effects and scripts are frame sensitive.

I'll test upload a few maps as I finish and put it in the same folder early next week.

If you notice since playing from game one, the enemies and how somethings work have changed and the game world I'm building around it will adapt to these changes. Roaming monsters will sleep and not always respawn etc.

And example of such change is Siggy having short-range-melee-like attacks soon for 2.0 and other special attacks while the buzz-lightsaw is on cool down. The Maiden's shield skill will be removed from the upgrades and become a power up so I can put that extra upgrade slot to better use. (Maybe melee upgrades)

The maps will be seamless and Crystals you purify will be teleporters and other stuff that will make it for 2.0

If there are any things you currently think needs to be re-tweaked or just any suggestion in general, comment ahead.

Looking forward to the new stuff. The NSFW stuff in the game is amazingly well done :D

When I played the horde mode, I noticed how the Rapevine's hitbox is larger then it actually looks like it should be. Caused many deaths as I didn't use cheats. Also I dont think the spikes need a tweek, just add holes in the ground as a visual que instead of a blinking !. Otherwise so far so good. I like how you can combo moves together like the light killer attack then follow up with buzzsaw. Keep up the great work, cant wait for 2.0.

MartinX

I think she's meant to use her melee attack up close, so that may be why the hit box seems larger(to prevent you from just running through her like you can do with the gankers).

SON OF A! Thanks, M for reporting that. Apparently, after changing the hitBox parent object, the child did not swap sizes for some strange reason. Will try to do a quickfix again along with what I can finish in 48 hours and include the modifications. Just look at how this motherfucker is cheating! https://i.imgur.com/PluMITx.jpg

that's the idea, since Rapevines are so slow, they should, by design have a big hitbox. but I think when I was testing and tweaing hitboxes, the global change did not apply to the rest. check the ss link below!

Just wanted to say that this demo shows again what I initially backed this game for! Great gameplay, with fun and engaging combat, and awesome lood animations! Great job Viper, and take your time! If we can continue to get this level of quality it´ s definitely worth the wait :D

viperv

Thanks! Production will speedup gamewise as the engine overhaul was a success!

Wait so just clearing it up, the supporters who have accumulated over $10 get the super nice image quality (like 5 months of $3 support qwq)?

Yes. You'll need to message me if you ever remove your pledge before 2.0, but while you're subscribed I will be able to easily see your total pledge enough to merit the reward. This, however will only be available up to v2.0+ (up to the very first multiple file version) - afterwards, you can still keep the lossless files to that version even on later updates.

Hey Viper, I used to donate before but thought the project had all but stopped so I had cancelled pledging. Would I be able to get anything based on previous donations given I've started donating again after playing the demo and seeing it's all good again? :)
