We all desire something. Desire motivates us to do things, chase seemingly impossible goals, and find happiness. Do we ever stop doing it? Is there a limit to our satisfaction? Many will agree that it is never-ending, which is a shortcut to stating that a satisfied desire will only lead one to a brand-new one. Those who walk this path may experience an unavoidable encounter with frustration, even dissatisfaction, down the road.

What if we could watch it dance gracefully, its causes, consequences, bliss, and discomfort? It is possible but requires a fair amount of gratitude, kindness, and self-compassion. I believe we get to know ourselves better by witnessing our desire's many ups and downs. Not only that, but we also develop some mad empathy skills.

This painting was a personal experience of breaking this cycle for once. I could stop for a moment and appreciate the view in peace. The desiring machine didn’t stop (sorry, I’m nowhere near enlightenment), but I got to slow it down just enough to… Feel things. I felt grateful for everyone here and in social media in general. I felt proud of the road we’ve walked together so far. I was satisfied, and it felt good.

Thank you all so much for all the love. For the trust. For everything. =^_____^=

I’ll send the Carmine and Cyan packs links in a few minutes.

Have a good one!
