All the others were back in the house by the sunset, except for Iris and Shola. Epona’s mom, Yui, had just left the garden, chatting with Dr. Oyekan. Shola seemed distant, staring at the trees in the garden. Iris, on the other hand, had her eyes on her new friend.

“Shola Oyekan”, she said.

“Yes…”, Shola replied, not entirely there.

“I met your mom when Epona had an appointment with her. She’s a good doctor.”

“I remember that day. I tried to talk to Epona, but she didn’t seem to remember me.”

“What do you mean?”

“We used to go to school together. We even got to be classmates when we were kids, but Epona is… Well… She’s always been an introvert. I guess she forgot all about me, along with most of her school memories.”

“She always told me she wasn’t exactly popular in school.”

“She wasn’t, but everyone knew her really well. You two are dating, so you know what I’m talking about.”

“Well, our relationship status is a bit complicated. We’re more on the non-monogamous side of the spectrum but yes, I guess I know what you’re saying. Were they mean to her?”

“Mean? They were ruthless. Poor Epona. If only we had the chance to get closer, and become friends… I know, deep down, that those things wouldn’t happen to her if I had the chance to be there for her. Not as often, at least.”

“Not as often… Oh...”

“We’re not that different when it comes to terrifying school experiences, you know… And my mom, well, she’s a futanari expert, alright, but she always had me to tell her how it was, how it felt, and so on. This is a secret, of course.”

“Of course! You can trust me, Shola. These lips are sealed!”

Hello, hello! Quaraci here!

Guys, we had a fun November, didn't we? We had more extra paintings than usual, my new Intuos tablet is here (it's larger, more precise, more sensitive, and it works really great!), and we had a very polarized poll on our abecedaire series! These things make me really happy, because I see how engaged we are, each and every one of us. I've been making some further experiments with different painting software as well (Corel Painter, Rebelle, ArtRage), which means we might see some different brushwork in the future.
