Next Year Plans & Next Patch! (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since my last post (3 weeks or so) but I just wanted to write a little about the work that's been going on in the background since I last did the previous update which was the last patch notes with the salon and such.

I hope everyone's had a great holiday and will enjoy the new year! I've been working throughout the holidays and probably should have taken some time off... oh well! Just really keen to get this game released for everyone on Steam!

Next Patch: The next patch will be around mid-January, with a few couple of important features, and that's the police station (to reset personalities and traits) as well as to pay fines. We will be adding a new task system, as at the moment, the game does not have enough objectives. We focused a lot on various buildings and shopping aspects but still not enough on gameplay (I've been saying this for a while!)

In addition, we will be adding in a new design for a cursor so the player can more easily find the player's house. It's always been a problem for newer players. We thought the map might resolve the issue but it apparently isn't enough! 

Finally, we will be reworking the player traits and personality system such that they will begin to impact gameplay. It's taken us a while to get here but it's finally time!

Release Date: I've been quite vague with the release date of the game on purpose since it's a little difficult to know when is a good timing given how ambitious the game is! As promised we will be updating the game for free for quite some time after release so everyone can see it as a 'live service game' with free updates for the foreseeable future. 

So for the moment, we have a more precise release date, and we are relatively confident the game will be ready in Q4 of 2023. Sorry that it's a bit later than we would have hoped, but this date we are quite confident in!

Upcoming: In January, I will be making a post about all the upcoming features in 2023 we would like to add to the game. We will also revisit our promises from 2022 and it looks like we met about 85% of the features we hoped to add plus a few additional features we didn't originally have planned, so everything seemed to be on target!

Sorry for the short update, unfortunately, the team is on holiday so I couldn't do a bigger update for now. In January I'll be doing a bigger one!
