Hello birbs! We're glad to announce that this upcoming patch is a big one! Apologies for the delay in this update as I feel we've been silent for a little longer than usual. Nothing is up, work is actually faster than ever we have just been busy with work. Since we are growing as a team, a lot of accounting and business related stuff had to be done so it really piled up on me, and I'm not very good at this stuff :(

We've been working really hard on implementing new features into the game so we can get more in depth with Little Sim World's gameplay so we're introducing the next few things:

Our first new feature is going to be a whole activity/interest! READING! This mechanic is a simple system that allows the player to level up a particular interest or activity without directly participating in said activity. It is a cost-effective way of levelling as certain activities may be expensive to engage in.

This also comes with a new kind of object, books. Books are the main item required to read. The player may open a book at any place in the world as long as they are not engaged in an existing interaction. By left-clicking a book in the player inventory, the interaction will begin. Books cannot be finished, such that the player may eternally read from the library book without finding a new book (unless they want to swap the interest they're learning about). At the time of writing, the only way a player can maintain the book in their inventory is to keep paying the subscription fee.

But how does actually the player get these books, what subscription was I talking about? That's where another new feature comes in, the library. The library is the main hub area for players that would like to study and level their interests. It features a subscription system much like the gym which is a rolling weekly subscription.

The purpose of the subscription for the library is so the player can access higher-level computers than they would otherwise be able to access at home. The player is able to leave the library with a maximum of 3 books in it's inventory (the amount depends on which kind of subscription the player has, different kinds of subscriptions will be listed in the next section). As soon as the library access expires, if the player still has borrowed books, they will have an increasing fee because of the “lost book”, the earlier the player returns it at the Library Counter, the less they have to pay to give it back. They can also interact with empty desks to read.

Another thing that's being implemented that comes along with the Library is our brand new Phone App, a Subscription Management one! Now you can see what subscriptions you already have and you can even turn on auto-renew! (Don't forget you can lose money with this, be careful hehe~).
We currently have these kind of subscriptions available (There's more incoming of course!):

Library Subscriptions:

There are different kinds of subscriptions that difer on how much access the player has to the Library services.

  1. Knowledge Seeker Card |£50| Gives access to the library during regular opening hours. Can rent up to 1 book at a time. Gives access to Tier 2 Computers (Library PC).
  2. Scholar Card |£100| Gives access to the library during regular opening hours. Can rent up to 2 books at a time. Gives access to Tier 2 computers (Library PC).
  3. Wise Owl Card |£50| Gives access to the library all day every day. Can rent up to 3 books at a time. Gives access to Tier 3 computers (Library PC).

GYM Subscriptions (Updated):

There are different kinds of subscriptions that difer on when the player can go do exercise and what GYM facilities the player can use.

  1. Sweaty Key Fob |£15| Get access to the gym at a restricted time. No access to showers, toilets, lockers and drinking facilities.
  2. Basic Key Fob |£25| Get access to the gym at a restricted time. Allows access to showers, toilets, lockers and drinking facilities.
  3. GYM Fanatic Key Fob |£45| Get access to all the gym facilities whenever it's open.

We are also adding a new kind of furniture in this patch, storage units! Even though we already had furniture we wanted to allow the player to feel more comfortable at home, your pockets will never be full again!

Last but not least, you can now keep your hands clean while eating food. Plates, spoons, forks and knives are now showed when eating some meals at a table. No more eating soup with your hands! We did this so the player's experience is more engaging, we are trying to bring more immersive activities to the game and we thought that eating, one of our main tasks, would be a great start. Also, a progress bar is now shown while eating so the player can know how long it takes.

We're taking a big step with this patch's features and we are also expecting to add a lot more soon! We'll keep in touch, thanks a lot for sticking with us all this time, we'll be reading the comments as always!
Bye bye our little birbs, see ya soon~~

Sounds great! Something new to do. How will the book shills work? Ex...I picked gamer when I made my sim but, there are no games in this game yet. This is what I mean. Also, I don't like the females hair. My female looks like a man to me. Can we get more females lady like hairs, please? Thanks!
