Wall Paint, Pavements and Fewwwd #Week 17 (Patreon)
Content
Heeeey everyone!
We have all been very hard at work this week working on various cool stuff! I hope you have all been well and awesome etc etc ~ Actually I'm super hyped about wall improvements so that they're nowww fully modular. You can paint them yourself along with being able to drag them into any shape. How's that for DIY?!! This is actually a lot more challenging to make that I originally realised, since it needs a lot of art, blank walls and some mental gymnastics to get right (mostly testing). However, we are almost there now and it makes creating all sorts of wallpapers easy. I do think we need of course more different types of walls as well, that's also important so it'll be exciting to showcase those when they are ready!
We are also working on some new banners for the game and I was thinking about using food, and it's sort of WIP but you can see what Heiva has managed to do so far. I think it's kind of neat and cute! The current button banners are nice but I wanted something a bit more interesting. Well none of this affects gameplay so whelp, it's probably not that exciting for you guys but it'll make our landing pages look that much sweeeeeeter (pun intended). PS - fast food is the best food in the world. Convince me I'm wrong D:
Oh and sorry for spamming you all with even more pavement tiles but actually it's suuper important to get these right as it really makes the game look alive. Non-repetitive tiles in general and just a good group of them is key for that immersion. It's not fun for a city to literally be one shade of grey, it gets ew after a a while. I know people don't get excited about floor tiles but Terry does! Hmph ._.
Innnn other news we are now working on more super duper awesome animations and they're beginning to turn out kind of nice so when they're ready, I will showcase them, so stick around for that! We are working on better sitting animations and adding bones to the characters so they can bend and flex. Right now the animations are smooth enough but they could be even better. Unity is basically butt to animate on compared to Spine but we are getting the hang of it. It's because we need automated colour palettes and more customisation hence why we are avoiding spine for some animations.
That's it for this weeks updates ~
Much love!
