Heya folks, as the title says: A new video is finally live! After a pretty grueling month, I finally managed to drag the quarterly wrapup across the finish line, and it's now available early for all patrons! As with the past few videos, I'm messing around with formatting a little bit to see if I can draw in more eyes, but the content itself is the same as it's ever been, rest assured. This time around, we leaned a bit heavy on the pixel art and talked about a lot of narrative-heavy games, but as always, we've got a pretty solid spread.

The rest of this post is more or less a quick explainer on how this took so long to get out and why there basically wasn't a video last month. I know most of my patrons have been pretty vocal about wanting to support the channel regardless of output, but transparency's still a good idea and I imagine there are others significantly less vocal that may not agree. I would've made another post explaining what was going on at the end of the month like I did back in June, but the video was right there on the verge of completion, so I just held off a few days.

Way back when I put out that video almost a year ago discussing the state of the channel, I talked a lot about how I had some health issues in my family that, as a primary caretaker, ate a lot of the time that would otherwise go towards work. As a sole caretaker, I basically already had the hectic schedule of a single parent, but this is unfortunately one of those health issues that only progresses one way. I will spare the details, but my charge is starting to tip into the final spiral to the illness's conclusion, and so requires more care than ever. So much so that many days this month, I flat out have not been able to work at all, which has slowed progress on the channel quite a bit. I wish I could offer up some plan to get the channel back on track, but there isn't a magic bullet to solve this one. For the next month or two at least, all I've got are dug in heels and a stiff upper lip.

As far as a "business report" goes, that probably sounds pretty doom and gloom. Things are going to be a little slow and spotty around here for a bit. And I still need to eat, so I'm still going to ask for your patience as I work through the next few months. But I will still put whatever time and energy I can muster into keeping the channel alive. I've got a fun video about long grindfest games that never change kicking around in the background that's nowhere near ready, I still want to do that Nier: Automata Games That Defined Me, and I'm going to find a couple of reviews that sound interesting to do next since we just did a big non-review video. So look forward to all of that on the horizon, hopefully soon!
