A new review is live! This time, I'm going back about a month to review the deckbuilding strategy game, Fights in Tight Spaces. This one was originally supposed to be the start of a series where I covered early access games in a more off the cuff manner, hoping to both cover an area of gaming that I don't check out as often and find a way to get more content on the channel more regularly, but the attempt wasn't up to my standards. So instead, I finally found the time to retool it as a normal review! As for the game itself, it's a solid one. It's mostly Into the Breach given a deckbuilding makeover, but that's like saying "oh it's just a jelly sandwich with some peanut butter thrown in." The sum of those parts is pretty great! Its only downfall is that its individual runs are pretty dang long as far as either a deckbuilder or a strategy game is concerned, and they definitely wear out their welcome before you actually finish one.

Coming up next, I'm giving Evil Genius 2 a spin. I'm not sure how great a five hour review is going to go with this one, but we're gonna give it a try. And after that, gosh golly, it's somehow already quarterly wrapup time again. Time flies!

Five Hours In, Fights in Tight Spaces is Solid, but a Slog (Review)

Heavily reminiscent of Into the Breach, Fights in Tight Spaces is a tightly woven strategy game with a healthy slathering of deckbuilding on top. It's a pretty great formula that changes up enough to be worth checking out, but also one that takes longer to complete and features less variety than many competing deckbuilders. Overall, it's solid, but can be a bit of an endurance trial to run!
