With deep sadness, we are heartbroken to say that our little fighter, Felix Carmine Sugrue, passed away last night. He truly was a remarkable baby who showed his mother and I his strength and resilience. After 3 months of heart wrenching reports, edema, underdeveloped lungs, high ventilator pressure and kidney shut down, Felix’s poor little body tried to fight it all and define the odds. But last night being by his bed side as the nurses tried to resuscitate him, he showed us he was ready to go and did not want to go through anymore pain.

We are sad, angry, tired, and sick over loosing our little fighter. The only thing that is keeping our spirits up is the support and love of our family and loved ones. We will get past the sadness, but for now it is difficult to move forward.

To Felix Carmine Sugrue, mommy and I love you dearly and we are so proud of you for fighting the good fight. We will love you always, and thank you for giving us 3 months of love and strength.
