I'm late to posting my thoughts here but my theory about the prerecorded tracks (which I also absolutely hate) is so the queens can't tour with the tracks without paying WOW royalties. The previous finale songs which have used queens vocals have sometimes done very well and I suspect the queens themselves get royalties from it because they have their own songwriter credits (eg Alaska and co on Read U Wrote U). Another way of WOW controlling their finances and the queens.

I truly believe this season was Jimbo's to win from day dot. It's a real shame on a lot of the rest of the cart but they had no chance. I also agree finale was supposed to be Heidi Kandy and Jimbo
