Our international all stars were challenged to serve 3 looks in the Rupaul Ball - Kitty Girl, Butch Queen, and U Wear It Well. We also ask the question: what's going on with Jujubee?? And at the end of the video we take a look at some fan related issues queens like Pangina, Lemon, and Janey are dealing with on Twitter. We'll be ranking each queen from rottest ROT to hottest HOT, based on how I thought they did in the Ruapul Ball. I rated each queens' Kitty Girl and Butch Queen looks out of 5 flames. Each queens' 'U Wear It Well' runway was rated out of 10 flames in order to add more weight to this runway being design based. I awarded up to 5 flames for if I thought the look "evoked" Rupaul and up to 5 flames based on how much I liked it. Juju is burnt out. Let's be honest. It's been obvious to me since Queen of the Universe. She came back because of her loyalty to Ru and the franchise, I don't think her heart is in it. She seems to be a people pleaser and I have to wonder if that is the cause of her returning at all. I loved Cheryl's cat look. I'm struggling to connect with the rest. I loved Baga's cat look, it was my absolute favorite. I am surprised she was safe though. I'm surprised Pangina didn't make her skirt but made Baga a dress. You can tell she views the show as a whole and values sisterhood. I have to like Pangina for that even if I'm not crazy about the ableism in DR Thailand. I may not agree with Pangina from time to time but I respect her for this. This is the kind of queen you want as a leader, one who cares about others. Blu was the best UK Queen in this challenge hands down. If Ru would wear that colour it wouldn't be that style, it would be an extravagant gown that couldn't be made in the time they had and it would be accented with accessories to die for. The hair would not be white, it would be contrasting and complimenting to the dress and accessories. Blu has improved so much and I see that confidence, they are rocking it and I couldn't be happier. I saw so much in them in their season, so to see that validated makes me so freaking excited for them. If you consider Juju and compare to Blu it's like night and day, sorry Juju! Blu is killing it and wants it so bad they're willing to bare their soul to get it. That vulnerability is what is elevating their drag. Healthy boundaries are good but if you have too much I think that can affect your ability to be creative and inspired. Or at least that's my take on it :P Mo Heart's Cat I liked but I felt very crafty to me. You're right it doesnr record well and is probably much mfke effective in person. That butch look like, girrrrrllll yes! Work it! It definitely was lacking but I do see the inspiration. I actually think the asymmetrical straps works but if it was one fabric and looked more wrap around like Juju's, something sheer and then had a draped skirt and split, a wrap around the waist for a belt, I would have worked! I'm just talking about elevating it although it kinda sounds like I'm redesigning it's not that much really 😂 it comes down to I think the fabric didn't work for this. But it is Ru. I think this is more cheap Ru than Jimbo personally. Pangina like damn girl. That's how you do ugly drag. Disgusting and beautiful. Extravagant and absurd. Superb. Cat look was over the top great. Butch I got but not crazy about. Ru look, that bitch should have made a skirt. But I gotta respect the sense of pride as a group and sisterhood she truly feels. Reminiscent of the Thailand sisterhood and pride I witnessed in the Thailand series. Love Pangina, she's a treasure. Janie J, Spirt Halloween indeed. Orange is the new black was definitely a safe look. Ru look, Mo and Jackay work well together to create a fierce look. But I fear Jackay may need help the entire season and that only works for so long. I hope she gets the hang of elevating her drag and excels. I haven't watched Holland yet but it's next! Hateful comments are not okay. I do give criticism and I'm not going to apologize for that. But you see my criticism, it's not hateful. I love all the queens, I want them to succeed. We are all human, we all do crap things and good things and everything else. One small piece of us is not an accurate representation of all of us. I think that is very important to remember. Jimbo. She can't lipsync for shit. That's not her deal. I love her drag so much, makes me feel seen. She was always at a whole other level than most of the DR Canada crowd. Having the ability to create and come across how you imagine is absolutely Jimbos strength. Well, other than dancing. But I mean her looks and humour. I don't know how she does it. That bitch is Talented. In Canada the biggest obstacle to overcome is how fucking hard it is to afford a anything. For the most part if you are a marginalized identity you probably struggle in that area. So the queens here have to either learn to do it themselves, have help or get very lucky to have a platform and fans to help with the costs. I feel like our drag scene is only established in very very few places and they have very limited spots available. Everywhere else it's almost non existant. Our country is mostly rural with a few densely populated cities. The cities that do have a scene are so expensive it's like you need a 6 figure salary to stay alive there or else you have to live outside the city and commute in, have a place to stay, etc. It's not easy but DR is really having an impact on our drag scene, even with the pandemic. I expect our drag scene to explode now. Even I'm considering doing drag specifically disabled drag because I have limits and boundaries that are excessive. Like I can do the splits but I may never walk again after, literally. I think there is a need for disabled drag, otherwise I don't think Willow would be so damn popular. Our community is so diverse, I hope disabled drag can be inclusive and allow all of us of all abilities to participate. But maybe I'm a dreamer. Many of us struggle to afford food, myself included. I think drag could help empower my community and I hope to be part of making it accessible to them. ♥ It's all about love y'all!!! I'm sorry this is long I just really needed to express myself and my executive functioning is not the best today. I hope people understand. 🙏
