Hi everyone! Thanks for being here. Many of you may be wondering why I have not yet posted the UK or US polls for this week's episodes. I have been in constant communication with everyone in the discord, but I wanted to make sure everyone here knew what was going on.

1) The Nina video had a much wider impact than I could have imagined. The video has been received well by the majority of people, but there is a group of people that feel my videos "target" only queens of color. Any regular watcher of my channel would know this is not true. Regardless, it was a reminder to me that I must be a leader in anti-racism to set an example for my audience moving forward.

I will be publishing a video on Elliott shortly, holding them accountable for their actions as well. The video will have a fundraiser on it for the NAACP in honor of Black History Month.

2) Please read my community post here: https://www.youtube.com/c/BussyQueen/community to understand what I've been dealing with for the past ~48 hours.

3) Regular Hot/Rot episodes will resume later this week. I am unsure if I will skip this week's episode and go right into the next ones next week, or what exactly I'll do. I hope you all understand I have been through a LOT. Please send some love and kindness to all of our queens on the show. I cannot imagine what it must be like to receive harassment on their level if this is what I've received as only a youtuber adjacently in the drag race space. The drag race fandom MUST change.

4) BQC tier benefits will be sent out later this week. Thank you for your patience.

Oh, Bussy. I’m so sorry. For what it’s worth, I’m not worried about what you tweeted ten years ago and we know you aren’t attacking queens of color. I do think drama videos need to tread carefully, remembering there’s a person on the other end and the way the Internet behaves. Please take the time you need to rest from all this and know you are loved and valued.

Something that might work in this direction and not to feel awful every time someone badly crosses the line is swapping the emotion felt behind it, anger about behavior like Elliott’s has an affect on the person who is angry. What he says gets power because he makes people feel angry and therefore awful, because anger eats away at someone and does a lot to people’s insides. What he says is awful and deserves attention though. Pity is an emotion that also condemns someone’s behavior and it still shows how bad it really is. The difference is that when a person pities someone it doesn’t make them feel as bad as when they’re angry because they are making the other person the problem. The words are getting less value because of the pity given to the person behind them and this person loses their power completely if people are pitying them. That takes away so much of the sting and nothing from the importance of condemning behavior that crosses the line. It also turns someone into less of a monster.
