It's the end of the week and it's time for your early access look at... ahh you've already clicked the link and you're not even reading this, right? Well, in case you are, here's the video description anyway:

Doc Buckley returns to the Musical Morgue with a gift on the table: It's Cardi B's newest, most controversial song. But with the body this picked over by all the other armchair autopsies out there, is there even any work for Buckley to do? The Doc looks for something that hasn't been discussed about the song yet, AND provides some consultation on how to make the music video better.

Kylie Jenners completely random appearance in the video was also really strange.

I gotta take a moment to share RA the Rugged Man’s version: https://youtu.be/i85gDRs4rWY

I’m not going to lie, WAP is a guilty listen for me, but I do love it. While I understand where a lot of people are coming from in regards to the lyrics, outrage over the misogynistic reactions, and sexuality of the whole thing, it’s being taken WAY too seriously. Honestly, it shouldn’t even be that big a deal because people have been talking about sex in music FOREVER; it’s nothing new.

I listened to WAP for the first time on this vid and those lyrics are disgusting. XD

Lol. "Keebler Tree"

Buckley's concept for the music video is AMAZING.

It is comedy. It’s like taking Garfunkel and Oats serious. I think the real tragedy is the artists taking it serious. Who walks around fantasizing penis poking their uvula when they look at a guy.

I disagree. I think that a graphic sex rap written from a female perspective is still relatively stigmitized, and WAP has some level of importance in that regard. I do agree it has comedic elements, though.

My exact reaction when I read and heard the lyrics was that it was funny. I actually laughed out loud at the line “When I ride the dick imma spell my name” and “macaroni in a pot that’s some wet ass pussy”

doseofbuckley

It's a fair opinion. I always think of Khia's "My Neck, My Back", probably considered super racy at the time, now is considered a rap classic, I haven't heard too many guys go "Ugh Gross", but maybe I'm in the wrong circles.

I’m definitely not outraged by this song, women being sexually assertive in music isn’t new - I’m showing my age but Lil Kim and Sisquo’s ‘How Many Licks’ had a lot more aggressive content and I remember being thrilled by the feeling of female empowerment. I just think it’s lyrically stupid and the “music” component boring. But it definitely would have made a lot more sense to market it as comedy, it could have actually been funny.

The only good thing about this song is when my wife and I start joke-singing it every time the cat starts cleaning himself. Equally juvenile? Definitely. But at least I admit it.

In case no one is aware of it, YouTube have disabled email notifications. So ringing the bell does nothing anymore.

chek this out: kent

Well if they just did that recently that might explain some things. "ringing the bell" lets you know on mobile that a new video is up, sending a push notification to your phone (of course, if you have those turned off, that won't matter either).

I don’t know if I should be proud, or ashamed that Steel Panther is one of my favorite bands haha I never really thought to look at “WAP” as a comedic song but from a “Steel Panther” frame of mind, it definitely fits the mold. And none of their music should ever be taken seriously, unless from an instrumental and vocal melody standpoint.

Hearing him say pussy just kills me.
