It's mid-week bonus time, with ANOTHER new Patreon-exclusive series. I'll let the video description tell the tale:

A brand new Patreon-exclusive segment, where Buckley looks back at an old video and discusses whether he still agrees with it or not, what choices he might have made differently if he were to make it now, etc. We begin by looking at a video from 2016, featuring an incident where a BLM group stopped a Pride parade and demanded that police be eliminated from future events. So this won't be controversial now!

If there's a video you'd like to see in this segment, let me know and maybe I'll do it, who knows. One of the perks of being a Patreon subscriber is you don't get yelled at for making requests!

Buckley vs Buckley: Pride vs BLM vs Police

I’m glad it is a Patreon exclusive. The majority of your audience would probably be very pissed at this. Especially the people who act like cops can do no wrong.

Buckley, what do you think of what’s going on right now in Portland with Antifa throwing explosives at a federal court house?

I think you brought up a pretty important point, i feel like it seems like a giant cock measuring contest sometimes, I’ve tried to relate to people about understanding the situation based on situations I have been in but then it becomes “what about POC in that situation?” Then “what about trans women of color in that situation” I know I will never know what it’s like to be a black person but I can try to understand. (I know not every person is like this but I’ve dealt with experiences with asshole who do feel this way)

I think I'm not the right guy to discuss any of that stuff to be honest. I'd rather there was no violence, and I understand that isn't an option in some people's minds.

Yeah I don't see this being the type of segment I'd release to the general public, not even because I'm afraid of what they'd think, just because I think it's more of a "behind-the-scenes" type thing that is more interesting to my longtime viewers and the ones who are big enough fans of mine that they're willing to be here on Patreon. The casual audience of mine who is often like "just make videos about music and celebrities!", this would be of no value to them.

Yeah unfortunately there's a lot of that on the Internet and it gets amplified in society too. I'm far from an "all lives matter" guy, I totally get the movement and being mindful of issues plaguing specific groups, BUT watching marginalized groups step on each other to determine who is the biggest victim, instead of supporting each other in one fight so that they'll receive support when it's time for their fight...

Pim

Great video concept. I can't think of any specific older videos you ought to tackle, but I'm looking forward to seeing what you do.

Thor Stone

Yeah, another thumbs up for this new concept! 👍

So although I am not Black or part of the LGBTQ+ community, from what I 've learned, the reason why it is very fine for BLM to make demands when it comes to Pride, it is because the two causes are intersectional. Pride was started by black trans women. Back when it started, the police brutalized Pride marchers and Black marchers. If policemen were there as civilians, nobody would feel uncomfortable. BLM is not saying that every single cop is bad. They are saying that the institution is used to oppress people, especially Black people. People are not trying to eliminate thye police, they are trying to defund the police. Cops who have talked about the deep corruption in their department got fired because of that. Even if a few people are more extremist, this is the core goal of BLM. Also, BLM activists do not just fight for Black lives. They also fight for Indigenous Lives and their fellow PoC lives. It's only the All Lives Matter that they have an issue with since that movement was created only to undermine BLM. And lastly I'm from Quebec. Even if we think that our issues are not as big as in the USA, our government and police are still very bad, especially with Ingigenous communities. So I wouldn't let Canada off the hook.

First of all I'm not saying we should have 'straight pride parades' Straight people don't need them as they get to have their own biological children, something the Alphabet crowd never will. What I AM saying is that it's interesting people accept all these pride parades as normal whereas any time someone talks about upholding either Christian or family values he's labelled a hateful bigot. How did the world get turned so topsy turvy and upside down and out of whack? I'd like to know. Now the minorities are always screaming about 'representation' in entertainment be it music, movies, tv shows and what have you and the majority is held hostage to their increasingly insane demands. At what point will normality be restored and when will people stand up for what is sane, normal and just in this increasingly insane world? And why isn't Buckley President? If America can elect Trump why can't Canada elect the good doc Buckley #BuckleyIn2024 #BuckleyForPresidentIn2024 (His Vice President would have to be Justin Bieber though lol)
