Are a few famous words for one of the worlds worst cases of vaporware ever (look at [this] if you don't get the reference.  I don't blame you, it has been a while :D). And while I don't particularly like these words, I've used them once on this project, most notably during a rather bad phase in November of 2017, while creating the 0.2.x version (A few people might still remember how well I managed to reach the December deadline :3). And here we are again at the end of April, and 0.3.x is still nowhere in sight.

Yeah, I think you already know where this is heading. What I have at home on my PC is far from ready. While I've added a lot of changes to the existing stuff, especially the beginning of the game will be more streamlined with shortcuts for players to reach a certain stages in the game sooner ~ it still lacks proper new content to be called a content update. Which is why I'll move the release of 0.3.x into May, and pray to the gods, both old and new, I'll make it this time. Funny fact. There are a lot of holidays in May in Austria. So I got that going for May. This decision may alienate some of you, and I hope it's not too disappointing. But even at the risk of loosing some support, I want to create a new version, which is worth the waiting time.

But as I've stated over on the tfgamesite Forum, 0.3.x is hopefully the last, big engine upgrade for a long Time. There were some features that simply needed to be in the engine as of this update. For example... for a Game called Secretary there was not a lot to do during the day besides clicking on how to work and fetch some food. Don't worry, I didn't simply add busywork, and no, you don't have to actually work, like file reports and do your job, that is and will always be stat based (mainly smart, skill and bimbofication ~ the latter counteracts the first two). But there will be events during the (work) day after 0.3.0, some of them random, others will happen in correlation with other events and developments during the game. Maybe you should fetch a coffee for your Manager and run into yet another quirky NPC, or maybe Bob visits you at your workplace... after all you DO work in the same building.

Welp, that all for now.

Your title made me think you were talking about CDProjectReds cyberpunk 2077 game. At the end of the teaser / interest video that the released back a few years ago, it said it'll be ready when it's done. LOL

Oh god. I forgot that game was a thing. I was soooo much looking forwards to it. Lets just ope CDProjectRed ain't the next Valve and there will be Gwent for all eternity but no more other games. Cyberpunk, Shadowrun and Rise of the Dragon was some influence on the more futuristic elements of Secretary. After All, Cyber- and Nanotechnology are featured in the game, as is full sensory Virtual Reality.

I think of a slightly more positive company instead of your example: Blizzard. They often answer "when it's done/ready" and for the most part their releases are quality. Not perfect by any means, but the problems with most of their games are differences in design direction, not the implementation of that design.

God software takes time. Better to have it good then to have it fast imo.

your good Deedee! Happily waiting till release!

Try to remember that it will never be perfect. A good level you might want to consider is 80%. When it is 80% as good as you think you can make it, ship it off and move on.
