On the DEBUT episode of Beyond Nitro, Guy Evans - author of the NITRO book - examines the phenomena of wrestling nostalgia. Why has fans' interest in the Monday Night Wars lasted for so long? Will there be the same level of interest - 20 years from now - relative to today's wrestling? What's changed? What hasn't changed? And why does it matter?

Beyond Nitro is available in text, audio and video form (links above) for you to consume it however you prefer! And we'd love to hear any feedback on what you'd like to see more of, less of, different going forward for the series. Enjoy!

Ideas for shows: Production changes and how they helped and how some might of hurt. The idea of running big stadium shows for raw or nitro. How big contracts changed the business. Having multiple shows like Thunder and smackdown and the stress and what pressure it put on the performers and crew. Wrestlers jumping back and forth and what that meant. What the success of wcw meant to the people in the offices of Ted Turner and how it changed over time.
