Regarding paying taxes….wrestlers are independent contractors, aka, sole proprietor of the business (self employed)…because they are self employed and have work visas to work in Canada, they pay the same as any Canadians depending on the province. They have to file a return on HST (harmonized sales tax), plus, any income they generated while working on Canadian soil. HST is 13% in most provinces and some provinces only tax you 5%…for Quebec, it’s 15.5% I think (PST/QST) plus reporting any revenue earned which could be 20+%. Self employed can file ITC, income tax credit if they keep all receipts for businesses.
