I assume Tony gets some kind of deal at Wembley or at least has an in to get him in there. Not being negative, just realistic. But I see a big drop off next year. It was a happening and that drove ticket sales. It won't be a happening next year. I think a better option might have been going to Japan maybe?

They get so few major events I assume it will still be huge. Maybe not the same number but they will put a lot of butts in seats.

Not an AEW hater, by any means, but feel like the tribalism and non-existent “competition” people mention is clouding some things. While AEW has the name on the “marquee” and certainly gets the revenue it’s a little short-sighted to think “AEW” as a brand and creative force was responsible for the turnout at Wembley. They rarely get big wrestling events, a market starved of major wrestling shows. I feel like the event simply happening sold the tickets rather than the company. Considering there were more people there than normally watch AEW in England. Anyone who thinks WWE couldn’t have easily done the exact same thing is kidding themselves.
