If it had not been for Jerry Jarrett I may not be a wrestling fan. I found wrestling flipping through the channels as a 9yr old in 1986 living in Louisville, KY. My ear was caught by Dave Brown, and Lance Russell. Lawler, Dundee, Austin Idol, Jeff Jarrett, Billy Joe Travis, Dutch Mantel, Eddie and Doug Gilbert consumed my Saturday’s. I saw with my own two eyes, Jackie Fargo do the Fargo strut in the Louisville Gardens on a Tuesday Night. In middle school, as a latchkey kid I would race home to watch WCCW on ESPN as USWA was taking them over. I would be introduced to characters such as Cactus Jack, Stunning Steve Austin, Chris Adams, and Eric Embry. These were the hero’s and villains that kept me company. Thank you Mr Jarrett for all the joy you have brought to so many but especially for the joy you brought me. Jarrett Family, you are in my prayers.
