AFS members. We've seen some of your comments recently, signaling that an occasional ad was missed within a particular episode. As always, we want to be as honest and transparent with you as we can, which is the impetuous of this message.

Up until 8-10 weeks ago, the process was quite simple. An episode would be recorded without ads, we would then grab that file and upload it here as soon as it became available. The ads were then inserted into the episodes after the fact for the main feed version. We never had to edit or even touch the episode, just grab and go.

That process has since changed, as now many of the ads are read 'live' when the episode is being recorded, and then the AFS team needs to go through the episodes - both audio and video - to edit out all the ad mentions from it. Some shows may only have a handful, while others may have a dozen or more that need editing out.

A much more manual process, which has led to some ads being missed and, thus, left within the episode in error. This is by no means an excuse, but rather a little background on what has recently changed. We need to - and are fully committed - to doing better moving forward. We do not take this situation lightly by any means.
