Today, the AFS community grieves together, as we said goodbye to one of our own. He was a friend, a brother. And he will be deeply missed. RIP Mark Nielsen.

He was the best of us, and truly a huge part of the AFS Family, even if he preferred to be quiet and behind the scenes. He loved you all and will be missed so much. Keep sharing your happy memories of him with each other. This isn’t easy but just like you have all been there for me, you have each other to lean on as well. I love you all ♥️ Thank you for expressing how much he meant to you. It means so much to me.

Did not know him at all as I have not really connected with other AFS members yet. But he seemed like a great guy and I want to send my deepest condolences to all who knew him :(
