On this episode of Grilling JR, we go back 26 years to revisit WrestleMania XII, which took place on March 31,1996 at the Anaheim Pond Arena in Anaheim, CA! In it, we'd see "The Boyhood Dream Come True" as Shawn Michaels defeated Bret Hart to win his first WWF Championship in a 60-minute Iron Man Match. Other topics include Scott Hall and Kevin Nash giving their notice, the Billionaire Ted segments, Roddy Piper’s return and the Hollywood Backlot Brawl, Ultimate Warrior‘s squash of Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and much more!

I know Pauly B and have for several years. We never talk shop or about anything about his work on AFS. You are not going to find a more prepared person as it pertains to these shows. He is passionate and he is dedicated and that’s not something you get everyday, especially from someone who is a full time business professional with a family. This started as a hobby and is easily a second job. JR does not treat Paul with the same respect that he affords Conrad and JRs very apparent by his answers and demeanor. Paul has no control of that. Ironically, the only thing he can do is what JR preaches about announcing: establish a better chemistry with his partner with more reps. That means more Bromwell on JR. Conrad never hid the fact he intended to grow the empire. He called Pauly his heir apparent over a year ago on an Ask Conrad Anything. Paul is an integral part to the brand and has played a major role in its expansion and success. Love him or not, he’s not going anywhere. I just wish some of you detractors and haters know the Paul Bromwell that I know.

I'm sure he's a great guy, and very smart, but he's not the reason so many of us signed up here. Conrad is. It has nothing to do with him as a person or his passion for the business, it's just not what we signed up for.

It’s a tough situation. I agree with the replacement host. I’m used to Conrad. So I can choose to not listen. The bonus stuff we pay for isn’t in regards to the host. It’s the content. Content that is all awesome. I’m jealous. I’d love to do this.
