This started out a bit rough, but they difinitely figured it out as they went along. This is one of the things about starrcast I was the most excited about. Muta is on my Mount Rushmore of Japanese wrestlers along with Inoki, Baba and Ricky Dozan (even though he's actually Korean). I'm sure somebody like Meltzer would be up in arms complaining about the ommision of ________ but who cares. It's not like I put Gran Naniwa on there or anything. I wish they asked why he stopped using his variation of the indian deathlock. Probably still my favorite submission move in wrestling. When he gets that thing on you right like he does Hiroshi Hase in the infamous Muta scale match.......filthy. For all the crap that Glacier got, I think he gets over if you magically take an 89 Muta and give him the gimmick. His 89 moveset is a little oudated and not as cutting edge, but still great at this point. Give him that indian deathlock as a finisher and I think he gets over. Nothing against Ray Lloyd. I just think it was a bit of a square peg in a round hole. Make Mark Calloway the milion dollar man or Ted DiBiase the undertaker and neither get over. It's magic where you put them. I'm glad he never went to WWF/WWE. They would've ruined him more than they did Vader and we'd have to hear Bruce BS us about how they got him past his prime and that's why it didn't work out vs they don't know what the hell they're doing. I have a four disc set of Muta's matches I may have to spend the weekend watching.
