It sounds like a number of people are getting hit with the youtube ads. Tony mentioned getting one yesterday and Conrad didn't because he has youtube premium. You can use an add on for Google Chrome and firefox called Umatrix. It's a web request blocker. When you go to a website, it tries to do a bunch of things in your browser. The default settings on this blocks most of them. It's a great piece of supplemental security. In addition, if you have the right settings, it blocks ads in videos on youtube, ESPN and others. It can be a bit of a pain to set up initially, but it's totally wiorth it in the long run. I'm sharing this here and now because these are the setting I use to block those ads on youtube. youtube.com 1st-party * inherit youtube.com googlevideo.com xhr allow youtube.com www.youtube.com script allow Ublock origin is a great adblocker and it's sister app. I use it too.
