Money in the Bank 2015
Money in the Bank 2015 took place on June 14th, from the Nationwide Arena, in Columbus, Ohio. It drew a sellout of 13,000 fans, with 12,000 paid.
We're coming off the Elimination Chamber ppv, where Ryback won the IC title over Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose beat WWE Champion Seth Rollins by dq in the main event to set up a rematch at Money in the Bank in a ladder match for the title
Of course that's the battle of two ex-Shield members. When they were all still together, which included Roman Reigns, who'd you think had the most potential to be a breakout singles star?
There was only a 2 week build for this ppv from the time that Elimination Chamber was held until the Money in the Bank pay per view. Do you think that was a mistake?
Some news heading into the ppv -
Meltzer reported - Hafthor "Thor" Bjornsson, the giant in "Game of Thrones," is someone they are interested in. He was training this past week at the Performance Center so he was giving it a try. One person who was watching his training closely told me that he just didn't seem like he had his heart into it. He was shown sitting next to Stephanie McMahon at the NXT special. He's 6-foot-9 and 400 pounds, and only 26 years old. He grew up as a basketball player, who played center in Iceland's pro league.
He blew out his knee and moved on to competing in strongman competitions in Iceland and started winning contests after only a few years of training. He placed sixth in the 2011 World's Strongest Man competition, and then placed third in both 2012 and 2013, and second in 2014. He started on "Game of Thrones" in 2013. He's done a 770 pound squad, and a 510 pound bench press.
Meltzer reported - This isn't to say anything will transpire, but WWE has greatly changed its thoughts on A.J. Styles. Styles considers New Japan home right now and is under contract. But WWE is, with wanting three touring brands next year, is looking to load up on as much quality talent as it can for 2016. Styles fits into the NXT philosophy in wanting athletic wrestling catering to a specific fan base, and as a separate brand with a part-time deal, the idea of someone 38 or so in developmental is a completely different dynamic than a year ago. The other advantage, and this is significant, is NXT works a lighter style for the most part.
The idea that guys who are feeling the effects from years working the blow away matches on the indie scene or in Japan will be able to, at least in theory, use the names they've developed in the hardcore community but be able to work like Finn Balor does, which is good matches, getting over by rep, goodwill and solid work, without beating their bodies up as badly. With Styles it may be a financial thing in the sense he's probably making three to four times what anyone in NXT is pulling in, and he has more time home with his family than he'd have with a full-time WWE or NXT deal. So unless it's something like come in for a quick program between Japan tours, the idea of going full-time here makes no sense for either side unless it's a main roster spot with a good push.
On June 1st, 2015, Kidd suffered a spinal cord injury from Samoa Joe's "Muscle Buster" finishing maneuver during a dark match on Raw. Several weeks later, WWE stated that he would be out of action for over a year. Kidd tweeted that only 5% of people survive his injury and that he had 16 staples, four screws, and a rod inserted in his neck.
This ended Tyson's in-ring career. What's your memories of that?
On June 1st, Paul Heyman was a guest on Steve Austin's video show podcast that took place on the WWE Network. Austin and Heyman go way back to 1991, when Heyman managed Steve in the Dangerous Alliance, a group that you were also in at the time
First, what's your memories of the Dangerous Alliance and of a young Steve Austin?
Austin did an hour-long interview with Heyman, mostly talking about old times, including Heyman's role in Austin's first break in WCW in the Dangerous Alliance. They also talked some about the modern scene, as well as about Brock Lesnar.
In the closing moments, Austin was critical of John Cena using the springboard stunner, saying it's been wasted, since everyone kicks out of it, so it means nothing. He also said it's dangerous enough that somebody may blow out their knees or back doing it, so why do it? He said he had no problem with anyone using the stunner.
Then Heyman brought up if Austin wanted to face Lesnar at WrestleMania. Austin cut a complete pro wrestling promo, going from interviewer to pro wrestler from 15 years ago, in talking about WrestleMania at AT&T Stadium and 105,000 people. Austin brought up that he played college football 30 minutes away from Dallas (Austin played at North Texas State, located in Denton, TX), and noted that at the time he'd go to the Sportatorium on Friday nights to see the Von Erichs vs. The Freebirds. Austin talked about not wanting a wrestling match, but a fight
Austin reiterated the line he's used for years, that all the stars would have to line up right for him to come back for one last match
This was never really followed up on. Was a match between them actually being considered or was this done just for the show
On June 11th, Dusty Rhodes sadly passed away at the age of 69. You went way back with Dusty. Talk about your memories of his passing, and the impact that he had on your life and your career
That takes us to Money in the Bank
R-Truth pinned King Barrett in 5:47 in the pre-show match. Barrett came out with a new royal outfit. He called R-Truth the village idiot. Decent match. The finish saw R-Truth twice duck attempts at the bull hammer, and won with a crucifix pin. *3/4
They did a video package on Dusty Rhodes, closing with a recent clip of Rhodes telling people, "Happy Trails to you." Renee Young was completely broken up over it. Her voice sounded like she was in heavy tears when she pitched to Tom Phillips after the piece ended.
They opened the PPV with a ten bell salute to Rhodes with everyone on the roster, including Vince McMahon front and center, clapping as they played his WWE entrance music.
Sheamus won the Money in the Bank ladder match over Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Neville, Kofi Kingston, Kane and Dolph Ziggler in 20:32. Kingston took a bad bump when Sheamus knocked him off a ladder, and he was supposed to catch his neck on the top rope on the way down, but landed short and awkward. A lot of the match had most of the guys hanging around outside the ring and leaving the ring to only a few people. Kingston hit trouble in paradise on Sheamus. Reigns power bombed Kingston onto the ladder.
The crowd was booing Reigns. Part of it was they thought he was going to win, and in this case, they seemed like they wanted Orton instead. Kane choke slammed Reigns off the ladder. Orton went crazy giving an RKO to Kane, Kingston and then he gave Neville an RKO off the ladder. Sheamus had the briefcase but Orton pulled him down. Sheamus threw Orton into a ladder and gave him a Brogue kick. Ziggler went for the briefcase. Sheamus did as well. Ziggler was behind Sheamus with a choke while both were on the ladder. Ziggler pulled Sheamus off the ladder with a Zig Zag. Neville then hit the red arrow on Sheamus. Ziggler and Neville were climbing, to the top and Ziggler used head-butts, and Neville slammed Ziggler's head on top of the ladder. Neville was about to win when Kane pulled him down. Ziggler superkicked Kane. Reigns, heavily booed, gave Kane a Superman punch. Reigns did a running dive over the top onto everyone. Xavier Woods and Big E came out.
Kingston was climbing while the fans were chanting "New Day sucks." Reigns used a running kick on E and Woods. Reigns pulled Kingston off the ladder and power bombed him over the top rope onto everyone. Reigns blocked the RKO. Orton ducked the Superman punch. Reigns hit Orton with a spear. He went to the top when the lights went out and Wyatt was in the ring. Wyatt shoved Reigns off the ladder and hit Sister Abigail. The fans cheered Wyatt like crazy for costing Reigns the match. Sheamus and Neville went to the top. Neville was laying into Sheamus with elbows. Sheamus pulled Neville by the hair and pulled him off the ladder. Sheamus then grabbed the belt to win. ***½
Sheamus winning of the briefcase this year was paying off what was written in as the plan for last year. The idea, according to former creative team member Kevin Eck, was that he pitched the idea of Sheamus winning last year to Vince McMahon. His idea was that the babyface Sheamus winning would set up the long planned heel turn, based on him cashing in on a babyface champion unfairly at some point.
Originally Sheamus was to turn heel and face Bryan at WrestleMania last year, but when Punk left, and the fact the crowds were killing Batista, Bryan's creative changed and Sheamus was left out. Then Sheamus was going to win the briefcase at Money in the Bank, but when Bryan got hurt and Money in the Bank became for the vacant title, it changed again. The champion was chosen based on who would be the best person to drop the title to Lesnar. The feeling at that point was they should go with the biggest marquee star, Cena, as champion. Where Rollins got the nod, and look at how that turned out, is that at first they were only going to do one Money in the Bank match, only for the title. When the decision was made to do a second one, with the title shot at stake, Sheamus had already been slotted in the first one and announced and they didn't want to change it.
Nikki Bella pinned Paige to retain the Divas title in a restarted match in 10:58. The match was fine but the finish made no logical sense, not to mention that Paige said she was dedicating this match to Dusty Rhodes, and then went out and lost. The Bellas went for twin magic once again. Brie again gave Paige a small package after a switch, but Paige reversed it into her own small package and got the three count at 10:25 and was announced as champion.
Brie then protested, and showed the ref that she wasn't Nikki, by pulling all kinds of tissue paper out of her bra. She then showed her tattoo. The only thing close to logical here would be a title saving DQ finish. But instead, the ref ordered the match to continue. Nikki laid out Paige with a forearm, followed by the rack attack for the pin at :33 of the restart. They put them on early and gave them time. The crowd didn't really get much into it but it was better than an average WWE women's match. *3/4
Next match was for the IC title. Ryback defending against Big Show
At Elimination Chamber, Ryback won the vacant IC title in an Elimination Chamber match. On the June 1st Raw, before Ryback was scheduled to defend the title against Miz, Big Show attacked Miz and confronted Ryback, which led to this match
Big Show beat Ryback via DQ in 5:27 so Ryback retained the IC title. The Miz was at ringside doing commentary. Ryback threw Miz over the announcers table at one point. Show hit Ryback with a spear. Ryback reversed him and went for an armbar. The highlight of the match was Ryback suplexing Show. Ryback also kicked out of choke slam. Show knocked out Ryback, who fell out of the ring. Show threw Ryback into the ring. Then Miz attacked Show, which caused the ref to throw the match out. 3/4*
Next match was John Cena vs Kevin Owens. Owens got a clean win over Cena at Elimination Chamber
U.S. champion John Cena pinned NXT champion Kevin Owens 19:13 of another non-title match. The crowd felt like it was 90 percent pro-Owens and they were electric. Owens did all of Cena's moves, including the five knuckle shuffle. Owens tried an Attitude Adjustment, but Cena reversed it into an STF. Owens used a codebreaker for a near fall. Weird he'd use Jericho's finisher. Cena came back with the five knuckle shuffle, and went for the Attitude Adjustment, but Owens got away and hit a German suplex and a cannonball into the corner. Owens went for the swanton, but Cena got his knees up.
Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment the first time for a near fall. Cena was yelling at ref Mike Chioda about the count being slow. Cena tried an Attitude Adjustment off the middle rope, but Owens got out and used a power bomb for a near fall. He tried the pop up power bomb, but Cena reversed into a huracanrana, and Owens then superkicked Cena. Cena was cut near the right eye.
Owens used a package side slam (since the package piledriver would be banned) for a near fall. At this point Jerry Lawler said that Owens came from virtual obscurity to beating Cena two weeks ago. Way to bury NXT. Cena did the Attitude Adjustment a second time. Owens kicked out again. Owens reversed an attempted Cena superplex into a Death Valley bomb off the middle ropes for a near fall. Cena used the infrared for a near fall. Owens did a pop up power bomb, but Cena kicked out.
Cena came back with a stunner and a third Attitude Adjustment and got the pin. After it was over, Cena said that Owens belongs here, and that he's a real champion. He raised Owens' hand and shook his hand. Owens then attacked Cena and gave him the power bomb onto the ring apron. He left with both the U.S. and NXT belts and was laughing at Cena. The crowd cheered like crazy for his post-match attack. Cena was helped to the back, limping. ****½
Kevin Owens on signing with WWE in an interview with the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show on CBS Radio: "My son's a big John Cena fan and obviously a big fan of mine who is very proud of everything I'm accomplishing. A big reason why I signed with WWE in the first place was because my son wanted to see me wrestle in WWE and he wanted to see me wrestle John Cena. So now he gets to see it. I don't know if he realized what it would entail, it would entail me beating up John Cena and John Cena trying to beat me up. I'm sure it is a bit of conflicting feelings here and there for him but he's proud of everything that's happening and he's really loving seeing me on WWE Tv every week." Regarding Cena, he said, "Anybody who says that he's not a very good professional wrestler and a very good performer all-around is kidding themselves."
Titus O'Neil & Darren Young beat Big E & Xavier Woods to win the WWE tag titles in 5:49. Not much to this. E tackled Young to the floor. O'Neil got the hot tag and ran wild and hit Woods with Clash of the Titus for the pin. They were put in a tough spot after the last match and fans didn't really react to most of the match. In a sense, this seemed the wrong time to take the titles off the New Day, but the Prime Time Players hadn't been pushed at all in a long time and with Tyson Kidd injured, the New Day needed new opponents.
The decision was made to go with the Prime Time Players over the Lucha Dragons for the spot, and they had no credibility at this point with the fans as far as being serious title contenders. So for the good of getting a long program going, they really needed the win far more than the New Day did. Plus, I don't think there's any doubt The New Day will be getting the belts back or are going to be phased down right now. *1/2
They announced the Reigns vs. Wyatt match for Battleground, which was cool because it was a natural match-up built off what had happened earlier in the show.
Kane said to Seth Rollins that he couldn't wait for him to lose. Stephanie McMahon told Rollins that they have a lot invested in him, and if he loses, they'll have nobody to blame but him. HHH then gave Rollins the big motivational speech like a college coach, which pretty much guaranteed he was winning, since HHH is not wasting that speech on a guy who is going to lose.
Seth Rollins retained the WWE title over Dean Ambrose in a ladder match in 35:39. Ambrose opened with a tope. Rollins went for a tope but Ambrose on the floor threw a ladder into him. This spot made Rollins look like an idiot. Ambrose had so clearly and vividly set the ladder spot before Rollins did the dive. Ambrose did the double arm suplex into the ladder which woke the crowd up. Ambrose came off a ladder with an elbow. Rollins hit his kneecap twice with chair which built the story of the match. He also drove the ladder into Ambrose's knee twice. The crowd was quiet through all this, as it was really clear that to this crowd, Cena vs. Owens was the main event and these two were having a tough time following.
But they still put together an excellent match. He used another chair shot to the left knee and did a double foot stomp on Ambrose while Ambrose was in the tree of woe position. Rollins went to climb up the ladder, but Ambrose pushed the ladder over and Rollins fell into the turnbuckle. Ambrose came back until Rollins threw a ladder in his face. He then put Ambrose's leg in the ladder and smashed the ladder with a chair. Ambrose made a comeback with some clotheslines, including one where both went over the top and Ambrose went back to selling the knee. They brawled in the stands. Ambrose ran across the announcers tables and tackled Rollins, and got up selling the knee.
Ambrose backdropped Rollins over the top rope onto a ladder bridge and clotheslined him over the Spanish announcers table. Rollins came back and went for a pedigree on the table, but Ambrose blocked and hit Dirty Deeds. The table didn't break and fans were chanting "One more time." Ambrose was climbing while hopping on one leg. Rollins nailed him with a TV monitor to the knee and hit the pedigree. Rollins was climbing, but Ambrose stopped him. Rollins threw Ambrose head first into a ladder bridge, and then gave him two power bombs into the barricade, one of which landed short and looked nasty. He then power bombed him onto a ladder and chairs on the floor.
He dropped the ladder on him and threw more chairs on him and started climbing. This really felt almost like overkill when Ambrose recovered and stopped Rollins from grabbing the belt. But Ambrose and Rollins were on the top of the ladder fighting to get the belt and both pulled it down at the same time, and fell to the floor with it, but Rollins was the one with possession of the belt first, almost like two guys going for a loose fumble, and was the winner. To their credit, even though it took a long time to get the crowd into it, they had a lot of time and by the end it was an excellent match. ****

The next night on Raw from Cleveland drew 9,600 fans
The show opened with Superstars, with Cesaro beating Dallas with a giant swing into the sharpshooter. Harper & Rowan won a three-way over Los Matadores and The Ascension.
After they replayed the Dusty Rhodes tribute from the PPV, they opened Raw with a long Rollins promo. He said it was "Monday Night Rollins," He said that Ambrose brought the fight and his A game, but as good as Ambrose's A game is, it's not as good as his. He said he made good on his promise to beat Ambrose all by himself in one of the greatest ladder matches in WWE history. He then started doing a fake face talking about being a kid from Davenport, IA, and then wanted to thank everyone.
he brought out a list of people to thank. Every name on the list was "Seth Rollins," which he said over the over. He then said he certainly doesn't have to thank "Dumb and Dumber," (Noble & Mercury) or the Devil's Favorite Dinosaur (he meant Kane). He said he didn't even need HHH & Stephanie, that's how good he is. He said with his performance last night, he may as well punch his ticket to the Hall of Fame and that parents are going to start naming their children after him. He ripped on Cleveland saying that Johnny Idiot (Johnny Manziel) won't bring you a title. Then he said LeBron James won't bring you a title.
The place went nuts for that one, getting more heat than anything on Raw in a long time. Ambrose came out. He was selling the knee from the night before. The problem is, the stuff he was scripted to do involved running around, so he had to go from full speed sprints to then selling and limping. Rollins kicked the knee again, but Ambrose jumped off the table on him. Ambrose then grabbed a chair and said he was doing a sit-in until Rollins comes back out and they fight. He sat in the ring for a long time, including through a couple of breaks.
They went backstage with HHH & Stephanie. Rollins was with them and wanted nothing to do with Ambrose. He said he beat him fair and square and he should be done with. Stephanie then brought up how Rollins said he didn't need them.
Rollins said that he didn't say that. HHH then asked Rollins if he was calling his wife a liar. Rollins said he was sticking it to Kane & Noble & Mercury, as well as all the other stupid people in the world, but that this is us. He told them to have security throw Ambrose out of the building so they could go on with the show. He also wanted to talk with them about who his next opponent was. They told him that they trusted him to beat Ambrose by himself, so he needs to trust them to make the key decisions by themselves.
Ambrose was still hanging out in the ring when Sheamus came out. He said the two of them are alike. Sheamus said that they both made predictions going into Money in the Bank, "But I'm a winner and you're a loser." He said he was one Brogue kick away from being champion, and that may happen tonight. He said The Authority told him to kick Ambrose's head off his shoulders, and he's going to do it purely for his own entertainment.
Sheamus hit the Brogue kick early but Ambrose was able to roll out of the ring. Sheamus rolled out of the ring on Dirty Deeds. The finish saw Orton come out as it appeared Sheamus was just going to take a walk out count out. Ambrose jumped out of the ring and threw Sheamus back in. Sheamus then missed a Brogue kick and Ambrose won with a schoolboy in 10:49. Orton then hit the ring and gave Sheamus a draping DDT, which got a huge pop. Then he went for the RKO, but Sheamus slipped out of it and ran off.
Backstage, Rollins was with Mercury and Noble. Rollins said how he beat Ambrose without either of them helping. He said he's willing to give them their jobs back if they have any inside info on who they are choosing for the next opponent. Noble said they said they hadn't heard a word, and even if they did, they wouldn't tell him. Noble said they should pick the superstar who pinned the champion last week on Raw, Joey Mercury. Rollins said he didn't think Noble could be any dumber, and made a crack about him drinking moonshine and reliving his glory days in WCW.
Mercury then said he thought Rollins was afraid of him since he pinned him last week and for the rest of his career, the record books will show that Rollins lost a match to J&J Security. He told Rollins that he's now by himself, and vulnerable, and it's not a question of if he's losing the title, but when.
R-Truth came out dressed up like a king. He was wearing a bed sheet as his cape, which the announcers joked he probably stole from the hotel, a toilet plunger as his scepter and a Burger King paper crown. R-Truth then called JBL "Willis," to further the idea he's Gary Coleman from Different Strokes, He sat down to do commentary when the announcers told him he was in the match. Barrett came out, missed the bull hammer and R-Truth pinned him with a schoolboy in :23. Barrett then gave him a bull hammer after the match and tore up his paper crown.
Machine Gun Kelly from Cleveland was backstage with guys like Fandango, Ryder, Slater and some of the women. Slater called him "Shotgun Gordon."
Owens came out and said that Cena isn't there because he's injured. He said if they want someone to blame for that, they should blame Cena himself. He said Cena was condescending to him last night when he said, "You belong here in this ring in front of all these people." He said he's known he belongs for a long time and he doesn't need Cena to endorse him. He said that people may call him a sore loser, but Cena was a sore winner, and he could have walked to the back like a gracious winner like he did when he beat Cena.
But he stayed there and wanted to shake his hand and that wasn't a gesture of respect, that was Cena trying to hog the spotlight. Owens said he wants a U.S. title match. Owens then issued an open challenge. Out came Ziggler, who kissed Lana. They were about to announce it as an NXT title match when Owens said that he never said anything about the title being on the line. He said they can do their match, but it's non-title. Owens threw Ziggler over the barricade and he barely beat the ten count. They did several near falls. Owens launched him with a German suplex where Ziggler went flying. Ziggler escaped from the pop up power bomb and used the Zig Zag, but sold so much that he was slow making the cover and Owens kicked out. Owens then won in 15:14 with a superkick and power bomb.
Paige called a meeting of all the women on the roster. Eva Marie, Lana, Cameron and the Bellas. So we had Naomi, Summer Rae, Tamina Snuka, Emma, Fox, Layla and Mendes. She told them they all had to stand together because the Bellas are holding everyone down based on who they are married to. The women all had a skeptical look on their face. Fox said to Paige that she's turned on every partner she's had. Naomi said that she hates the Bellas, and agreed with her, but said she's crazy if Paige thinks she's going to let Paige boss her around.
Then the Bellas showed up and talked about how they must have missed their invitation to the meeting. Nikki noted that ever since she helped Stephanie beat Brie, she's been Divas champion. Basically she gave the idea that anyone who goes with Paige and crosses her will be screwed in booking. So, one-by-one, all the women walked out of the meeting and the Bellas laughed at Paige.
Kane pinned Orton in 4:21. Kane was moving really slow, Sheamus came out and Kane announced it was now an anything goes match. Sheamus hit Orton with the Brogue kick which allowed Kane to get the pin.
Backstage, Rollins was with Kane. Rollins was rubbing it in about how last night, he won and Kane lost, and he won without any help. Rollins said that out of all of the doubters, Kane may have been the biggest. Rollins said that more than anyone, "My success physically pains you because I remind you of what you used to be, a champion, a winner, feared, all things you no longer are."
Kane said that to be the future of the business, you have to win match after match, night after night, and that takes a team. Kane told Rollins that he wasn't an architect and nobody can do this alone. Rollins said he would continue to do this on his own. Rollins said that Kane has already had somebody holding his hand, The Authority, Paul Bearer and his brother. Kane then freaked out saying to never mention his family again or he will eviscerate Rollins. Rollins told him never to put his hands on him again and Rollins said he hoped Kane was his next opponent.
Miz beat Show via count out in 2:46. Ryback was on commentary and said he thought Show was the best big man in wrestling history. Show threw Miz onto Ryback. Ryback and Show started arguing and Miz slid back in the ring to beat the count and win. Miz then ran off and celebrated like he'd just pinned somebody to win a championship. Ryback jumped in the ring and went after Show, but Show jumped out of the ring.
Reigns came out for a promo in the ring. He said that last night wasn't a good night, that he's had very little sleep and he's pissed off. He said he wants to throw down right now and wants Wyatt. Wyatt was on the screen and laughed at him. Wyatt did acknowledge that Reigns beat him a few weeks ago which cost Wyatt the chance to go into the Money in the Bank match, so they gave him a motivation reason for why he did his attack. Ryback said that Reigns' ego reminds him of someone he knew a very long time ago who was the chosen one.
Wyatt came out with a photo of Reigns and his young daughter and said, "I'm a little teapot short and stout." That's from a TV commercial Reigns did last year, which out of nowhere, just happened to play on this show.
The Bella Twins beat Paige in a handicap match since she had no partner. Paige hit the Rampage on Brie but Nikki saved. The match had no heat. The numbers game caught up to Paige and Nikki won with a forearm and rack attack in 5:34.
Next was a Machine Gun Kelly concert. Owens came out and was clapping for him. Kelly went to shake Owens' hand. Owens blew him off and wouldn't do it. They exchanged words and then Kelly shoved him. Owens then attacked Kelly and power bombed him off the stage onto a crash pad.
This got some mainstream although Rollins insulting Johnny Manziel got real mainstream on ESPN. Then, Kelly, on Twitter, wrote to Owens, "Please hit harder next time. That was chump change."
Neville & O'Neil & Darren Young beat all three members of The New Day in 9:31. Neville did a Fosbury flop dive and was the star of the match overall. Woods tried to German suplex him and he landed on his feet. Young used a gutbuster on Kingston, who came out with his ribs all taped up, selling the ladder match from the night before. Neville then pinned Kingston with the red arrow.
Ambrose was playing darts backstage. He was throwing the arrows at a picture of Rollins. Kane showed up. They ended up arguing about either becoming champion. Kane noted that he's been champion. Ambrose said that wasn't him, that was the big red monster, the guy who tore people apart. Ambrose said that he liked that guy, but this guy was a glorified messenger errand boy wearing a suit. Kane said that he was an executive in a global corporation. Ambrose said that Kane was loyal to the Authority and it was just a job. Ambrose said that this was his life. He said he had the title in his fingers and liked it, and won't stop until he gets another taste. Ambrose said he needed the title and that's what he lives for, and then asked Kane, "What do you live for?"
The final segment, to reveal Rollins' opponent, saw HHH and Stephanie out. Stephanie said that disciplinary actions will be taken against Owens because that's what was best for business. Then HHH and Stephanie said the opponent would not be Mercury, Noble, Kane and definitely not Ambrose. Rollins came out and said it didn't matter who it would be, because nobody on the roster is capable of taking the title from him. He said that whatever name is announced, he was going to beat them and he was going to beat them and he was going to embarrass them.
Fans started chanting lightly, "We Want Lesnar." HHH said that Rollins had beaten Orton, Reigns and Ambrose and that last night he beat Ambrose with no help. He said that maybe he never needed anyone's help in the first place. But he said, sometimes when you make an investment, you have to step back and look at your investment and find out if it is going to pay off. He asked if the coal become a diamond when the pressure his on. He said the pressure was on. Lesnar's music then played and Lesnar & Heyman came out.
Heyman shook hands with HHH & Stephanie. There was a "Suplex City" chant and Lesnar was wearing a new Suplex City design T-shirt.
After the show went off the air, HHH, Stephanie, Lesnar and Heyman went to the back. Then they announced the dark main event with Reigns & Ambrose & Orton & Ryback vs. Rollins & Sheamus & Show & Wyatt. When the match started, Reigns and Wyatt went after each other and ended up both brawling to the back. The other six continued the match, which ended when Orton pinned Sheamus after an RKO.
