On this episode of What Happened When, Tony and Conrad take you back to the Marietta, GA Civic Center to May 3, 1998 and one of the most panned ECW Pay Per View broadcasts ever.  From Bam Bam Bigelow having to work with New Jack, who had knocked himself out cold, to the terrible stunt show from Sabu and RVD, to the messed up finish between Al Snow and Shane Douglas, this one was a stinker.

But at least there were the likes of Francine, Taz (a cameo only), Tommy Dreamer, Chris Candido, Lance Storm and Justin Credible.

Other than that this one was a May to Forget for ECW.

I’ve been a wrestling fan since 1981. I’ve got hundreds of tapes from all territories. I have purchased paintings from paint your life., flowers from singer and refinanced a mortgage with your dad. I share all that to say I’m dedicated to wrestling and these podcasts. I love them. That being said, I want you to know that this version of WHW is SO MUCH BETTER than what is being done now. Please slow down on the comedy and let Tony talk about NWA/WCW mid 80s - 01. He shines there! Thanks for the great entertainment!!

I have refused to listen to Tony show for a long time just convinced that he had nothing to offer than what I was getting from Bruce, Eric and JR but this show had me laughing out loud and in tears throughout the show! If this is your not good shows then I am missing out on some great content!!!! Thank you Top Guy Denovias from constantly telling me to listen to Tony and Conrad and will be listening on a more regular basis! Top guy out
