Really disliked the firefly - went too overboard and silly - but Charlotte Ripley was superb and I quite enjoyed the Edge Orton - the drama built and Orton’s wheezing, Edge’s emotion, all added to it. Believability. Good episode. :)

I don’t think the nwo being put into the hall of fame had anything to do with that part of the firefly funhouse match. When I saw it I instantly drew the comparison of Cena and Hogan. For everyone who listens to 83 weeks probably knows, Hogan opposed the idea of turning heal for many years fearing it’d kill the character, once he did it became a great moment in history and brought his career to new heights with this new heal persona. Then you look at John who was in a very similar spot Hogan was in before that turn. The crowd had always been split but the last couple years of his active career the majority was just turned off. About that time the idea started to become more and more talked about amongst fans, Cena should turn heal, to the point people started watching closely looking for that huge moment like Hogan had. When Bray and Cena had there first match at mania that idea was very much in the story going into it. Cena is resisting that cry from the crowd to turn and Bray was gonna be the one to get him to do it. He was gonna push Cena so far that he’d finally snap with the chair, destroy Bray, and become the bad guy just like Hulk. I might be reading too much into that small segment of the match but this is a match that’s meant to be read into.
