On this edition of The Book, David Crockett and Conrad continue their month-by-month, town-by-town, gate-by-gate journey through Jim Crockett Promotions, as they dive into March 1986!

The first quarter of the year has been very successful so far for JCP, as they continue to benefit from the viewership of their television programming. The TBS show is a hot commodity, with great wrestling, big personalities, legendary promos and the show’s success is definitely being reflected in the gates of live events. With a lineup that would include Flair and Garvin, Dusty, Magnum, Arn and Tully, The Road Warriors, Midnights & Rock N’ Roll Express, many of the cards include multiple main events, giving wrestling fans in attendance a huge bang for their buck.

The Crockett Cup is announced for New Orleans with an elaborate press conference, where they announce an amazing selection of tag teams from not only JCP, but other promotions and territories from around the world that will be taking part. But while coming up with the list was the easy part - the logistics behind how the tournament will play out - will be another story.

And speaking of tag teams, the Midnight Express with Jim Cornette continue to wreak havoc as the champions, Arn and Tully, continue to gel as a tag team and Ricky Morton of the Rock N’ Roll Express has found himself having a war of words with Ric Flair.

New champions are crowned this month, a new US belt revealed, shocking turns and debuts of new talent that may or may not have what it takes to stick around. Time will tell.

It’s all in the March 1986 episode of The Book!
