Included in the attached file: Original working file, and two WIP sketches.

The work file in particular has lots of adjustment layers, for those curious to see how final tone correction works on this type of work.

This is also my last ink+color commission, I think I will debut a new flat color tier to have an approachable low cost commission tier.

With time I pushed the way I color to incorporate more and more of my painted style on top of what I learned about comicbook-style colorings, to the point where, if I disable lineart, I get pretty much the base of a painting (as shown in the thumbnail).
Black lines do now realistically follow lighting, so looking at my inked work on top of painterl-y color never felt right to me. 

I still love this piece and all of the rat trilogy, I love the interplay of arms and bodies, stressing physical contacts and giving the feel of gentle entrapment. The character sizes and the scene really allowed me to explore that direction.
