Commission for Bastioner (Patreon)

Hello! It's been a while since I did an upload, I'm making it up by posting two paintings at once and I hope you'll enjoy them both.

After I finished my previous painting I decided I needed to seriously reconsider my painting technique in order to improve lighting. I decided to experiment with grisaille underpainting and you can see the results here. Grisaille is a technique were a black and white blockout of the painting is done, and then colors are applied on top of it. I used to practice this technique a long time ago, but I found it translated in dim colors and unappealing paintings, however I now have better skills with coloring than i used to have, so I thought it was the right time to give it another shot. 

Let me know what you think of the results: this may very well end up being my new standard working technique for a while.
