Hey everybody,

One of the things I want to do in this new year (although now that it's February it feels strange to keep calling it the "New Year") is to add a 3rd party show, and create a commentary crew for Hardcore Heroes. I've posted about this already on the /r/Koibu subreddit, so if you haven't seen that post, take a look.

The end game is to change the twitch channel from being about "Neal Erickson" and create a "RegalGoblins" community that Neal Erickson oversees, manages, and supports.  Ideally I would keep doing Hardcore Heroes, Dicing with Death, Shenanigans, and [redacted title of an upcoming show], but everything else would morph into a more solid show structure. I might 4 episodes of "World Building" a week, but they would have more definitive start and end times.

Adding on to my own content would be a slew of community content. Someone might run a Dark Eye game every week. Another person might do two episodes of character art each week. A third person  would do their own twice a week world building show. Someone might revive "The Weekly Reroll" and run that. One-Shots might come back under a new host, and we would get a place for people from chat to come and play. We could do monthly Q&As, cross-overs, have casts from different shows switch places, have parties in the same world run by different GMs meeting! When we bring a bunch of people together under on flag, we can do a ton of great stuff. While each of these other hosts would be adding just a few shows each week, the result would be a fantastic RPG community.

Shenanigans would become the great melting pot made up of everyone that's hosting a show or is heavily invested in the community. Each week someone would run the game and six others would play around in a silly adventure. All the players, gms and artists would get to play together and get to know one another. We would all be working on creating this great RPG community.

It would be an online version of a community center and similarly to a community center needing new balls and net, repairs to bathrooms and floors, a new paint job, or needing a football field put in, the "Regal Goblins" community would need intros, overlays, X-Split subscriptions, advertisements, roll20 accounts, and moderators. The money that comes in goes to pay the staff and support the organization as a whole.

Now, we're a long way away from there, it could take years, but the first step is finding another show to add done by another person. If that goes well, we'll add another, and then another. It will be a difficult process, mistakes will be made, shows will get cancelled, and problems will come up, but this is the direction I would like to start moving in.

I love streaming D&D all day every day - but I want to do more. I want to build a real community, and that can be really hard to do online, but we can do it.

I am looking forward to building this community with you.
