Upon the occasion of thinking about the seminal Planescape: Torment, I think through the implications of the RPG genre, its history, its narrative strategies, its weirdnesses, and how Planescape somehow comments intelligently on them all in its first three hours. First of hopefully many little insights on this impressive piece.
