Fundraiser Announcement (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

So it’s possible you saw my post on Twitter about this but if you didn’t here’s the lowdown: while I’m mostly funded by your generous patronage here at patreon, the No Cartridge audio family of podcasts incurs some incidental fees every month that aren’t always covered. These include hosting fees for audio, subscriptions, game purchases, incidental costs, et al. The long and short of it is I usually take these costs on and hope for the best; it turns out this is not a great plan.

So as a result, I’m instituting a semi-annual fundraiser. This year I’m asking for 600 dollars, and after that number all proceeds will go to a charity supporting abortion access (still determining which one please suggest if you’d like!). This is not an arbitrary number but I can’t imagine you’d all want a run down of my bank account and if you do want that: no.

In any case this fundraiser will take the form of a Disco Elysium stream, as the votes demanded! I’m going to try to push through the majority of the game starting this Saturday, Sunday and Monday, at which point we will as a family regroup and schedule out the rest. Hopefully we knock the fundraiser out early and can have fun building up funds for abortion access through the rest of the stream to come, but regardless I think it’ll be a lot of fun.
