It's monday, time for a new update! I've added a performance overlay which displays different categories so you can disable/enable certain features to make your experience more smooth (keybind must be set in the keybind settings)! I've also identified a major stutter issue and improved it.

Installation Instructions: https://minecraftphysicsmod.com/installation

Known Mod/MacOS compatibility issues: https://pastebin.com/cVvbnY2E

Pro Server IP (Fabric 1.19.3): server.minecraftphysicsmod.com

Iris Compatibility: Minecraft 1.16.5/1.17.1 requires Iris 1.4.2 or lower.

IMPORTANT Ocean Physics Information: Only use a maximum of 12 chunk render distance. Anything higher could result in big lag spikes.

Ocean Physics Supported Shaders: https://pastebin.com/vqDmXDhL

Smoke Physics Information: Minecraft particles have to be enabled for it to work! The further away you are from smoke sources the less particles spawn. Temporal Anti-Aliasing (or TAA) can cause issues with the smoke so disabling it will eliminate some visual artifacts. Not all shaders are supported (best results that I've got are with BSL shaders).

Snow Physics Information: Optifine is not supported (use Iris + Sodium on Fabric/Oculus + Rubidium on Forge). High render distances on slow CPUs might result in delayed snow tracks.

Liquid Physics Information: https://pastebin.com/E9dMD9MZ

Changes:

  • Added debug physics performance stats (hotkey by default unbound, can be found in keybind settings)
  • Added a warning to snow quality high that it requires 6 GB+ RAM allocated for it to not freeze Minecraft
  • Significantly improved ocean/snow/dynamic block loading performance (less stutter)

How does this work on a server? do every person need a code? Does it work server-side or both?
