Big update on the cloth physics engine part. It now interacts better with the environment. As an example running through banners gives a way better interaction now! This is just part one of improving it. Stay tuned for the upcoming updates! Video about the cloth improvements will come online later today.

Iris Compatibility: Minecraft 1.16.5/1.17.1 requires Iris 1.4.2 or lower.

IMPORTANT Ocean Physics Information: Only use a maximum of 12 chunk render distance. Anything higher could result in big lag spikes.

Ocean Physics Supported Shaders: https://pastebin.com/vqDmXDhL

Smoke Physics Information: Minecraft particles have to be enabled for it to work! The further away you are from smoke sources the less particles spawn. Temporal Anti-Aliasing (or TAA) can cause issues with the smoke so disabling it will eliminate some visual artifacts. Not all shaders are supported (best results that I've got are with BSL shaders).

Snow Physics Information: Optifine is not supported (use Iris + Sodium on Fabric/Oculus + Rubidium on Forge). High render distances on slow CPUs might result in delayed snow tracks.

Changes:

  • Improved the cloth physics engine
  • Fixed banners having weird shadows
  • Fixed smooth shading not working with Iris
