It's time to start making your firehouse 'livable' above the garage! This file collection includes a modular floor assembly (with slime grate!) that sits above the garage. Also included are two columns that support the longer span of the floor and frame in the garage.

A few tips on this one:

  • Sand the edges of the floor modules that connect to other modules. This will ensure a great bond between when using super glue. My glue of choice for years has been Gorilla Super Glue. It bonds parts in about 15 seconds.
  • I also like to keep a set of paper binder clips on hand - various sizes - so I can clip my parts together while the glue cures and creates an even better bond.
  • I printed my floors out of dark grey to fit with my 'black firehouse' vibe. If you want something closer to the original toy, a brown or a wood filament would likely look awesome!

Also - keep track of your parts! Here is a diagram:

I have the 1/18 scale versions of the Hotwheels Elite Ecto 1 and 1A. I’m in the process of adding a lot of lighting and modifications to the 1A, and have been trying to find something like this to print. Thank you for producing this. Would you happen to know off the top of your head how much I would need to reduce the size of the prints produced by these files to accurately represent the 1/18 scale?

FYI... part "Floor 2-C-GREY" has a small design error. If you look at the part from the walled side of the garage, there's an extra bit of the support cross-member sticking out beyond the side support. I didn't notice until after the print, so I just dremeled it off, but you may want to update the file....

Thanks for the alert on this one - I see that now! I must have bundled up an older module there (I had remembered correcting it in my build). The corrected file is now included in the post attachment.
