When you give a kid a proton pack (Patreon)

With Halloween right around the corner (and Pateron now allowing video uploads without YouTube), I thought it would be fun to share a very special moment with patrons. For his 5th birthday, I designed and printed his very own proton pack (using files I published here!). He loves the Ghostbusters and I could think of no better gift! This video was taken when it was gifted to him and his reaction is.... well... I'll let you watch :)

Four years ago, my son (4 at the time) discovered the Ghostbusters cartoon on Netflix which reignited my own interest and sent me on a journey of prop making and costuming. Today, Ghostbusters is very much a part of my own identity. The idea that even the unlikeliest of would-be heroes can save the day with tools and talent (and a bit of humor) is so important in today's world.

This year, my nephew will be suiting up with his proton pack on Halloween and I'll be right there with him!
