"It's technical... just one of our little toys."

The 'ghost sniffer' is not nearly as iconic as the proton pack or PKE, but it was featured in one of the funnier scenes of the original movie where Peter Venkman visits Dana's apartment. It was also shown briefly as part of Ray's 'lab' outfit in the classic 'we're ready to believe you!' commercial.

The piece of equipment is actually a vintage Bacharach 'Combustible Gas and Oxygen Indicator' - which makes the scene with Peter and Dan even funnier. Did Peter think she was crazy and was looking to see if there was a gas leak in her apartment causing hallucinations? 

In any event, the files here contain parts for creating the main parts of the sniffer - including the shell, knobs, handle, etc. I completed my piece with a brass rod from the hardware store, a hand pump used with blood pressure cuff, 1" web straps, and a small voltage meter. I did my best to approximate dimensions using available photos online. You can also find labels in this GBFans thread. Note: that I had to resize these labels a bit in my print settings to fit on my shell.

Assembly is quite straightforward here - the main shell is comprised of 4 sections to comfortably fit an Ender 3 print bed. I glued each side together, sanded, and painted a camo green to complete the look! 4 mm cap screws are used to connect the two sides together.
