Apple's at it again (Patreon)

Hello, my favorite patrons!

As I'm sure many of you have heard, Apple's policy will be going into effect soon which will affect pricing on new Patreon subscriptions made through their app.

I received an email from Patreon explaining that starting in November 2024 Apple will start charging a 30% commission on each new member that subscribes to me through iOS.

This WILL NOT AFFECT my current subscribers so don't worry if you're already subscribed. However, for new memberships if purchased through the iOS app, the subscription cost will go up 30% to cover Apple's LUDICROUS extortion- I mean commission. I am very sorry about that, it's completely out of my or Patreon's control.

I hope that new patrons can support my work despite this extra charge and can continue enjoying my game. If you don't want to be charged that additional fee it's very easy though! Just subscribe from the website instead of the app! The fee only applies to iOS and only the app so I strongly encourage new patrons to subscribe through the website instead either on a computer or just using your mobile browser. (I discourage using the app for that even if you're willing to pay the difference since I don't believe Apple's behavior should be encouraged. But that is entirely my personal opinion.)
