The intro is insanely easy because the route’s simple and your car handles like a dream, which really saps the intensity. I assumed they’d end up killing the dude we’re playing as to set the tone, but they ended up pulling their punches and letting him walk. And that’s it. That’s it. They race, a car gets wrecked, that’s all that happens.

The difficulty of the drift trials in comparison to the races seems to be ridiculously out of whack. Hitting 80k in the first drift trial is like trying to land on the moon by slingshot, but in the races, I was putting a mile between myself and 2nd.

Avoiding the cops and escaping them are two very different activities. One is intense, fast paced and challenging. The other is just as mind numbing as it is in every other game. You guys are looking at the car right now, but I’m not. I’m looking at the mini map, and my eyes are glued to the minimap, because that’s the only way I can avoid patrol cars.

Not even gonna lie, the chop shop mission is pretty good. Mercer actually does something, Lucas actually does something, tensions are ramping up. I give it a not bad at all/10. Lots of consequences. We also get to hear Lucas’s backstory about how his street racing induced a heart attack in his dad. We’ve been seeing how that’s affected him the entire game, so it certainly feels real. Can’t really fault anything at all with this mission.
