The 8th mission of Bad Blood begins with you getting your ass kicked, you get shot up with horse tranquiliser by a Blume exec. He leaves you out cold on the pavement assuming that fixers will come to pick you up, but you recover far quicker, quick enough to tail his ass. Ignoring the fact that this guy just left you unattended, T-Bone recovers from horse tranquiliser in about 2 minutes, what the fuck, why was this even in the game if it was such an inconsequential joke. The real draw of this mission is the fact that we find out that Defalt was behind the fixers on us. It was his bitch ass the whole time. There’s a smartphone that details how Defalt planned for Aiden finding him at dot connection, he used a decoy to throw them off his trail. Decent mission.

We know where Defalt is. Or at least where he wants us to think he is. The umeni building is crawling with fixers, but not for long. Though that’s exactly what Defalt expected. Being the little fucker he is, he constructed a madhouse, populated by everyone who died in T-Bone’s 2003 blackout. One of whom was Defalt’s brother. He’s got a good reason to hate T-Bone. And in an attempt to kill you, he cuts the lights, just like you did, and sets loose the hounds. Fighting in a blackout is always a cool experience, no different here.

Nicky and Aiden’s relationship is just so strange. I can’t believe these two grew up in the same household, and the dialogue between them especially can feel really off. When Damien allows her some time to talk to Aiden, they just sort of passive aggressively bite at each other instead of taking the situation even remotely seriously.

I ran into a bug where when you have to hack into Bedbug’s security router, he will instantly die. We haven’t even seen him yet, but he’ll still find a way to die. Heart attack, I imagine. The only way to fix this, is to shoot up the surrounding area. I don’t know whats going on.

Using the cameras to guide someone through a stealth section is enjoyable just cause of the feeling. Getting someone out of a life or death situation using your phone and a few cameras, it’s another example of that evocative watch dogs feel. I like that you aren’t restricted to using the cameras when you’re saving Nicky either.

Tailing a boat on a bike is fun, it makes you feel like James Bbond, but slowly walking following a guy who does about 20 feet before stopping every 30 seconds, that’s not fun, it makes you feel like a narcoleptic woman’s stalker.
