Charges explained! (Patreon)
Content
I was supposed to make this post last month but content creation keeps getting me distracted. I wanted to take a moment to explain the changes I want to make and answer any questions you all might have.
It's no secret I have been 'late' (this is what this whole post is about) with sets in the last few months. For that reason, even though I used to post 4 charges per month without a problem or complaint before, I felt bad doing so lately and kept announcing fewer sets to catch up. To not seem greedy.
The thing though, is that I have never worked as much before. What started off as 'X amount per set of 5-10 pictures' (still what's being advertised/promised when people choose to throw in their support) quickly went out of control to sets of 30+ (getting closer to 40 lately) pictures per set. In one set, I fulfill that original promise.
That's when I realized the 'per set' model worked fine when I had no idea how much content I'd be creating, or if this would even be remotely successful. As it is, it's unsustainable.
That's why I wanted to make clear that I'd be posting up the full 4 charges per month starting next month as there is still more content/pictures being released per month than there ever was before (which means more work, obviously) and it just makes no sense to just charge for 2 sets when I've been working non-stop ever since I launched this.
What this means:
- Still as much content, released the usual way (and I've been generous lately, meaning I leave more than the 5 sets announced in the Tier 1 folder, sometimes closer to 10 sets). I don't plan on working any less
- Less stress for me. The stress of wanting to get those sets out to justify the charges was killing me and doing this will simply remove that stress, allowing me to just keep pumping out stuff as it comes...
- Not having to announce actual sets means I can work more naturally. Example: the "Tricking the genie" coming out later tonight will have to be a 2-parter because I was still not finished at 39 pics. Working with this new method, I can finish the story with a 2nd Part without having to make it a 30 pic set (again, because I would feel bad releasing shorter sets after getting everyone used to 30+ sets). I can simply work naturally and end it where it's logical without cutting it short or padding it to get in the 30-40 pic range.
- Not announcing sets means I don't have 2 months worth of previously announced sets to work through to get to this new idea I've just had whenever I get inspired to do a new thing.
It IS a lot of work, and I don't want to start cutting corners to get those 4 sets in. I prefer pumping (!) out the content as it comes to me. I've only posted up 3 charges this month because I wanted to have this post made much earlier than today, but I was still chasing after those sets!
If you have ANY concerns, please let me know or ask in the comments. You've trusted me so far and I believe I have overdelivered whenever I could and I don't plan to change any of this. Thanks again for all your support!
