This week's been decent progress on all fronts. I've been doing story renders, animations, some new ui elements for a new feature in the game, scripting and dialogue.

I'm just about to start setting up the 3d assets for the last event of the chapter, which is a big one. I've learned that doing good prepwork in setting up the assets for the scenes will shave a lot of time off when it comes to the posing part. I did that earlier for this chapter where I set up a hospital which consists of the rooms, halls and outdoors in one loadable scene.

You've seen this earlier in chapter 6 too, where the prom/basketball court, the school (with the bench), and the streets outdoors were one combined scene. Putting it together like this makes for much better transitions as we move locations from one to the next.

When it comes to numbers, we've rounded that one thousand milestone for story renders at 1,051. For animations, we're at 8,216 frames.

And that's a good a note as any to end this weekly update. I'm doing my best to get this out there for the date I've set myself, but I don't want to cut corners to reach it. This chapter is important storywise.

Have a nice weekend, and stay safe out there. And thanks to you guys, I'm taking the girls shopping for a new wardrobe. Plus maybe Chris. His suit for Metro in chapter 1 was horrible in every way.
