"Get off your ass, Cece. We have a game to make!"

I hope you all had a good time playing Chapter 5, or if you didn't play it yet - hope you will.

The first dev diary after a release is always a bit underwhelming with not a lot going on concerning progress. Most of the week has gone past backing up my project, answering questions, bugfixes - in addition to the release itself.

Still, I've started working on the next chapter and the prologue is already finished. I had great fun doing that one and it should give you a bit of background to someone in the story we haven't seen in the prologues yet.

I haven't started rendering animations yet, due to me going through the story chronologically, but I'm at 75 story renders.

With only three chapters to go, I'd like to give you some information about what's left - storywise.

Chapter 6 will concentrate on beginning the task of wrapping up the story, without revealing the main plot. I'm not going to lie, it will not be all fun and games and I'm not looking forward to doing a certain scene in the least, but without it LoF would not be the story it is. This chapter is also quite large when it comes to size.

Chapter 7 is intentionally kept short due to the events in Chapter 6, to make the wait as small as possible. And by short I don't mean little content, just very little pathing and absolutely no (or at least planned) lewd scenes. This is because I don't want you to wait too long for this reveal after the events in chapter 6, and I hope I can manage to make it as wholesome as I'm capable of. It is 100% story.

Chapter 8 will wrap things out and reveal some surprises.

Anyway, the sun is shining (at my place at least), so it's time to head outside and soak up some d-vitamins while the computer is rendering. Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope you enjoy this time of year. Stay safe.

An end note:

I've gotten quite some questions on how to join my Discord. Here's some information about it:

If you've linked your Patreon account to Discord, this should happen automatically. You can check this by hovering over your profile picture in the top hand right corner of the screen and choosing "My profile settings". From the page that loads, click "Apps" at the top. There you can see if your Discord is linked to Patreon, or if not - link it. If you do, you will automatically add my discord server to your list of servers in Discord - and be given the correct role (also add any other creators you might support).

You can also join manually by clicking https://discord.gg/2jqGPuD. Though this will not give you the correct role.

There are 3 more chapters left and the game is finished? What's the plan for the future? Sequel or an other new game?

Don't hurt Cece 😭

I played so many of these before starting my own project and I have to say, LOF is simply the most well done story and branching I have seen in a game. I was a huge fan of Melody and this may actually knock it off the top spot. As a dev, its scary playing another game and feeling the way I do afterwards because it puts pressure on me to up my game, do better. So, thank you for that Drifty. I hope you plan to keep doing this after LOF because your work is flawless on all fronts buddy. Very well done indeed.

Took a brake from the game - the story is too good and I want to binge the rest once it's complete. It is worth the wait and I really want to thank you for it! Lewd scenes are so much better if a player can immerse himself and keep being interested in the narrative. Seriously appreciate your aproach to development of this little jewel!

Epsiode 5 was absolutely amazing! I love that you can be good at multiple things; writing a good story AND creating stunning renders. And the attention to detail makes you stand out, like after the boat scene when there is a closeup of the girl (especially the Holly version), and the night sky in the background turns to morning...
