You should definitely watch the new Castlevania. It's basically a sequel. "Spin off" is really not a good way of describing it--even though it's technically right--because it makes it sound like it's not required to watch, but in Castlevania's unique case, the series was always about different generations of Belmonts fighting vampires, so it's kind of like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure with different generations of Joestars, but with larger time skips in between games (or in this case, seasons). Unlike Jojo, it's not always immediate descendants, it can be a few generations down the line.

Vasto

Hogyoku is the stuff that turn people into hollows/give them powers that Aizen got at the end of first arc, that purple ball out of Rukia. There will be a main filler anatagonist in next eps just ignore him and go with it, it will be the last appearance of them, i don't think fillers will be mentioned much more late on? i don't remember at least. Dunno about Castelvania, but if you like this theme, Hellsing Ultimate is one of the most popular/highest rated anime in same theme, with brutal Vampires and stuff, one of my top 5 anime easily, its 12 eps each 40min completed story. Thanks for upload. Also Jojo? maybe its been a while.
