Loved this movie as a kid. I hope you guys can do more 80's action cheese. Maybe some Chuck Norris, like Lone Wolf McQuade or Invasion USA.

There is so much to talk about. You guys should watch some Jet Li movies, like Once Upon a Time in China, Fist of Legend, Fearless and his American movies like The One and Kiss of the Dragon. Jean Claude Van Damme has a ton of other movies, most of them really are not that great, but people like Kickboxer, Timecop, Double Impact, Hard Target.

I know I'm late to the show. But I found ya guys on Youtube. Most of my old buddies are past on now. & there's not a lot of folk to watch these old movies with in my life. Pretty cool to be able to "watch it with someone" enjoying it for the first time. A few things to bear in mind if ya re-watch it ever for you to think about: 1. Remember, this was before cell phones, & during a time when the military REALLY put money into you (training) if you were special forces. Hence his 'importance' to the government. Another note? This was literally before/during a little thing called "Aids" hit the scene. So the concept of not getting blood on you? Not even a thing (based on that) as yet. The intro? showed several different well-known martial arts styles being practiced in their countries of origin. They are the basis for the mixed martial arts schools & sciences available today. This was before the UFC; this was before Grace martial arts & the concept of Brazilian Jui-jitsu threw the industry on it's ear in a choke hold... & the story of Frank Dux? Sold to a movie studio FOR this film...by the guy claiming to BE him... It's the tale borrowed by Tropic Thunder. But it REALLY happened. A shill convinced Hollywood he had-had this incredible experience.....& sold them the absolutely fake movie rights. They were so embarrassed they kept the truth under wraps for many years before it ended up being more profitable to just let it be known they had-been had. Anyhow, my son is about to be home & ima restart this with him in hopes he sits & watches it with me. Be safe ! & Greetings from the Greatland. I was unable to convince him to do so, so we had some dinner & watched an episode of the Walking Dead. But I got back to your show, & indeed I saw a couple other things for you to maybe take into account if/when you see Bloodsport again. Deca was the steroid of choice back then (You can tell most who used it in such excess by the mastioplasty (male breast alteration, notably the swollen 'nipple pointed down' look use of the drug gives many men. Oh! & the "Okay USA!" thing? That joke is born of the true-war fact that in an effort to not be designated an enemy combatant? Such became a manner of identifying yourself to soldiers when you didn't speak English. It's born of a previous period of conflict that I'm certain you won't have to stretch your mind far to find. Overall, the holes in Frank Dux' backstory (his MOS in the military) shows through. he claimed when selling the story to the studios interested that he was obligated to keep silent on his actual duties during this period, & it fit well enough with the story, they simply allowed the matter to drop both in the real world, as well as the film. Suffice it to say it was a ruse. But this day & age? To say you "couldn't be so well trained & so invested in they wouldn't want to keep you?" ...Well, we know that's just not true any longer Ya gete enough training in the 'right/wrong' field? You may not be allowed to just quit. ...& in the eighties? Many of us already suspected what we see as evident truths now today.
