slipHAZARD

As a JoJo's fan I totally get where you're coming from in terms of the repetitiveness of this part. The first couple times I tried to get into JoJo's I stopped about halfway through this part, like you guys I felt story was just spinning it's tires without really going anywhere. Then a couple months later I decided to pick this part back up again but this time I went with the DUB and honestly I found it a much more enjoyable watch and got through it. I'm not trying to start a DUB vs SUB thing, personally I just found that I enjoyed the comedy and the animation and the generally "sillyness" of the show more without having the need to focus on the subs. For myself when I watch along with your reactions I watch the dub version. Again not trying to start a DUB is better thing, but I do think you might enjoy the dub a bit more and it does have some really great voice actors too that really fit with the characters. Just a thought lol either way I love your reactions ✌🏻💓✊🏼

Understandable, i only want to mention the "focus" part, if you read enough you don't really need to focus that much it comes just natural, also there is a part of silliness of Japanese trying to speak English itself as a bonus, in dub you don't get the famous "OHH NOOO" "OH MY GOD" etc in that scale. Tldr the more you watch in sub the less you need to focus on sub with some exceptions like monogatari series ofc.

I agree that Part 3 was dragged out too long due to its stand of the week formula. I think David Productions did a great job in terms of pacing for part 1 and 2, so wish they could've done the same for part 3, but I guess a lot of it comes down to the writing too. This was the part that was kind of like a transitional period for the mangaka, Araki. Part of the charm of the series is not only seeing what each of the generation brings but also how the mangaka matures as he experiments with his stories.
