I think it was during the first episode just right after Rhaenyra's mother died, Viserys told her that "The Idea that we control the dragons is an illusion... " they're basically domesticated but never tamed.

drogon once snapped at Dany over her trying to stop them fighting over a goat but thats about it and drogon after rescuing her refused to fly afterwards and went to sleep and she got recaptured by the dothraki. the other two dragons dany had never got a personality so

zaldrīzes buzdari iksos daor (“a dragon is not a slave”) the riders don’t own the dragons 🐉 and they never have full control over them. To answer your GOT question about them demonstrating this, There was a moment that comes to mind, when Viserys and rhaegal were fighting over a goat and drogon came in to dee bo and take it and Daenerys tried to calm drogon and drogon snapped at her, then Jorah says to her never forget they are dragons and cannot fully be tamed, or something to that affect

After this episode, I got the book. I'm too impatient to wait 2 year for the next season

I know I'm in the minority here, but honestly I wasn't that blown away by the first season. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the watch thru. But if I compare it to like the first season of GOT it didn't quite grip me like that did. Personally I feel like they took a lot of the worst parts from the last couple seasons of GOT and made a series out if. I found it was bunch of fast traveling inter-spliced with scenes of 2-3 people sitting and talking in a room, cut to, another scene of 2-3 people sitting and talking in a room. And then throw in huge time jumps where every couple episodes I felt like I had to figure out "ok, who's who now" kinda just took me out of it. I love the acting, loved the production, I guess with all the time jumps I don't really feel like much happened and the stuff that did happen we were more just told about it rather then haiving actually seen it happen. lol sorry for the long rant and despite all that I am still looking forward to more. But more importently I appreciate you guys for taking the time to react to it. .✌🏻💓✊🏼
